You are spot on and i agree with you 100% and yet every year without fail United break their previous season ticket record and the Dees with all their success in the cups just watch their numbers dwindle and dwindle.Originally posted by num1adi View PostWhat did that banner on Thursday say ? Something like .we?ve saw things they?ll never see , that was spot on no Dee has ever saw his team pumped out of two different cups in space of 3 days , never ever
I cannie for the life of me work that one out

But they have all the record crowds, biggest European crowd, biggest Scottish cup crowd, biggest league crowd, by far the biggest average crowd. What does it get these days tho. 😅Originally posted by GUNBOAT View PostYou are spot on and i agree with you 100% and yet every year without fail United break their previous season ticket record and the Dees with all their success in the cups just watch their numbers dwindle and dwindle.

It doesn't matter what you did 100 years ago if you've done nothing in the last 50 years except go into Admin twice.Originally posted by Piscean View PostBut they have all the record crowds, biggest European crowd, biggest Scottish cup crowd, biggest league crowd, by far the biggest average crowd. Yes they are pretty irrelevant as most of them happened during the post would war 2 crowd boom, including the average crowd's mentioned, just look at the funs average crowd's just before the war 4-5k after relegation in the late 30s
There were crazy crowds all over the place after the 7 year war break for about a decade or so after it, crowds exploded in Scotland
If Dundee could pull in regular home crowds of 6k (minus away fans) that would be a huge achievement these days, they aren't close to doing that
United are the opposite, the gaps the biggest its been since 1997 (Dundee average below 3k)

Come on Shedka 3k that?s a blatant lie, very occasionally there?s been just under 5k but when you take off the away fans 9 times out of ten it?s 5k plus for SPL games , the Hibs game a couple of weeks ago had just over 5k in the Dundee ends , I?m really surprised someone from attendance fc should get their 3 and 5 numbers mixed u on a keyboardOriginally posted by shedka View PostYes they are pretty irrelevant as most of them happened during the post would war 2 crowd boom, including the average crowd's mentioned, just look at the funs average crowd's just before the war 4-5k after relegation in the late 30s

League average under 3k in 1997 is what I said
The current gap between what we get through home turnstiles is the most it's been since then
Hibs game, 4.6k home fans if you take the packed out shankly, that's counting those who didn't go and we saw the big gaps on the TV

OK, winning. But seriously, 9 years on and still banging on about a game that's all you have achieved in over half a century and the only trophy was some celebratory mugs. F*cking sad and pathetic, but hey the life of a dee eh? 🤣🤣Originally posted by Dens Park Dynamo View PostDrawing?
