Of course if we?re talking about attitude then we could be looking closer to home at Rory MacLeod who is now back up the road from Southampton with his tail between his legs. Except Macleod who the Club stated had been offered terms but they were ?awaiting a response?. Obviously we?re covering our backs for development fees (unlike Big Fat Tone) but this laddie needs to get a grip of himself. Where else is he going to be going now exactly? Put out ?on loan? by United, punted back up the road by Southampton and currently effectively out of contract and (on good authority) thinks United are ?phucking schite?. Don?t know what his problem is but he could do no worse than look at the likes of Johnny Russell, a very similar player by all accounts who knuckled down, worked his trade and had a great career to the benefit of all concerned.

If that's his attitude now he's on a one way path to obscurity.

Sounds like a really decent acquisition and speaks really well. A good pedigree and a big f*cker too. We will hopefully be very solid at the back again this season but a lot more mobile too. Liking the way things are shaping up now and augurs well for the rest of the incomings if they have a similar pedigree.

It depends on how good our new recruits are. We now have 4 players competing for places in central defence. I don't think many people knew much about Will Ferry before he signed but he was a big upgrade on Scott McMann, a player many were surprised we let go. Gallagher would have been released with replacements in mind.
