Jort signs for Cambuur. Official.Originally posted by arab777 View PostSC Cambuur is strengthening its squad with the addition of Jort van der Sande, a 29-year-old attacking midfielder who will likely be officially presented next week and sign a multi-year contract in Leeuwarden. Van der Sande joins from Dundee United, where he remained goalless last season, but previously proved himself an accurate midfielder in the Eerste Divisie with notable performances for Excelsior, NAC Breda, and ADO Den Haag. At these clubs, he scored 13, 13, and 11 league goals respectively, so Cambuur expects him to make a valuable contribution in Leeuwarden as well. - "Headliner - FC Den Bosch"
So a striker that was never a striker
Puts the debate to bed I guess.

If our appeal in negotiations is denied and we do have to repay some of the money it's possible HMRC will accept instalments. Maybe we should be suing a certain someone for activity which I won't describe here but I'm sure you can guess which kind of activity I'm referring to. Derek Bond also weighing in with a "not me guv, not my signature on the application form"Originally posted by Arabknight View PostLooking like they are going to have to pay a wee tax bill with some of that but hopefully some left over.
Meanwhile Hibs and the The Rangers also named by the press as recipients.

New signing:Julius EskesenOriginally posted by arab777 View PostTidy player but a bit lightweight. I cant see how JG released a player like Babunski only to replace with another player who fits a similar mould
Julius Eskesen has been a key player for Haugesund in recent years, but now the parties are parting ways.
TV 2 has been informed that Haugesund has reached an agreement with the Scottish top club Dundee United regarding a transfer for the 26-year-old.
Eskesen's contract ? who has played a total of 85 games for Haugesund in the Eliteserien ? expires after the season, and therefore Haugesund has been open to selling the Dane now.
As TV 2 understands it, Haugesund will not receive a transfer fee now, but instead bonuses if certain outcomes occur. Haugesund has also secured resale percentages.
? It is true that Julius is leaving. We will receive a small transfer fee and a larger resale clause, sporting director Jostein Grindhaug told Haugesunds Avis earlier Monday.
However, he would not reveal which club he was talking about.
Julius Eskesen has not played for Haugesund since July 6th against Sarpsborg 08 due to injury, but the medical test is not expected to be a challenge. It is expected to be done on Tuesday.
Jostein Grindhaug in Haugesund does not wish to comment on TV 2's information. General manager Martin Fauskanger has not responded to TV 2's inquiries.

The fact they are willing to focus on a sell on clause rather than a transfer fee suggests they are confident that he will progress.Originally posted by moicher View PostNew signing:Julius Eskesen

Final Take
Eskesen seems a smart midfield acquisition for Dundee United?combining defensive reliability, creative spark, and positional adaptability. While his recent goal/assist output isn?t standout, his all-around contribution and industrious style could bolster United?s engine room, particularly in high-tempo Scottish Premiership matches. If United can play to his strengths?compact passing play, solid pressing?he could become a valuable asset both on the pitch and down the line.
