Does anyone know for certain he was going to get the sack? Other than the media BS whats daily shovelled down our gullets.
Because I have not seen/read any evidence from the club he was on borrowed time…just speculation and fans on different forums who just wanted him gone.

For what its worth; barely into a new difficult season we are bound to come ‘up against it’ most fans had a good idea we would probably be fighting it out in the bottom half of the table. I am under no illusions, I knew it was going to be a battle. I stand behind DF and I believe and hope he gets a fair chance with us not just a few lousy games in. I truly believe we will not get relegated back down.
Not looking for any kind of debate here, just my opinion.

I sincerely hope you are right!

new manager changes don't always work out good. wolves and west ham show it's not a cure all and they were established prem teams. Frankly, forest aren't totally out of the woods and on paper they have a serious prem level side and a proven coach that gets the best out of what he has.

You would be stupid to get rid of him,he will keep you up this season. I'd swap him for Parker . He hasn't a clue in the premiership, we are going down without a fight .At least Farke has got you playing good attacking football.

What a week he had - whatever the reason for it 4 points and plus 1 to out goal difference out of a week of City, Chelsea and Liverpool is not a run of results many on here expected.

If he had decided to be more flexible great and not sure who is available who can realistically replace him who is an upgrade.

He looked as if he had tears in his eyes post Chelsea and the players seem to be up for it for him.

More of the same please even though not his greatest fan.

Gotta admit to staying off here of late cos I lost the sense of belonging to this community due to the recent excessive negativity.
Prefer constructive dialogue which gives balance where criticism is present giving analysis to potential solutions for positive reinforcement of clubs circumstance.
Continual abundance of relentless complaining only drives members away, imo, folks want 'spirited-debate' of differing opinions - well, thats what I want. 👍

Really chuffed over our recent performances, love to see my favoured mantra of two up top by ditching the over used predictable lone striker weekly bore-fest tactic.

DF certainly tightened our full back liabilities when defending, to be fair he did use the system pre season so it was always a case of just when to use it but it will have a toll on fitness levels, for sure, imo. But it now protects our central defenders lack of pace & allows us to attack the ball quicker.

No doubts clubs data analytics will be fed our recent tactical ploys & they will soon start having answers to combat us which will then highlight the importance playing as a consistent fighting unit even more.

Folks been harsh on Farke, imo, personally been happy to cut him some slack & respect the job hes been doing so far considering all the factors he is operating under.

            just saying.

Hummm, sure has fixed the defence, only coped 3 against City and Liverpool! I was told once to enjoy the moment because, like death and taxes, they come back. no worries, be happy. https://youtu.be/d-diB65scQU?si=-C4uLcmo6VQ13cky

You can't win when you don't score! we may have been awesome defensively in some of our losses but when you don't score you are playing for a draw.

More importantly..... it's very enjoyable to watch! We are fun and unpredictable again like our MB days. I'll take that any day over watching the paint dry, unloading the Aldi truck on Saturday night or watching a dull nil-nil draw.

As I said, TAKE THE GOOD WHEN IT'S AROUND., In the end, reality bites. MB was exciting the first year back, but we know what happened the next!
Someone said earlier, not sure in this thread, that changing managers doesn't always work out.
Well, my local Greek team started off the first ten games at the bottom and couldn't draw a game, let alone win one. Well new manager they win the cup and just won the Australian championship.
Coach's Turnaround: Sinisa Cohadzic has been instrumental in the club's turnaround, leading the team to avoid relegation and achieve a Dockerty Cup trophy. His leadership and coaching philosophy have been pivotal in the club's success.

These achievements reflect the club's ability to bounce back from previous setbacks and build a strong foundation for future success. South Melbourne FC's recent performances and coaching have positioned the club on the cusp of a historic season.

South Melbourne FC has made history by winning the inaugural Australian Championship, defeating Marconi Stallions 2-0. The match took place at Olympic Village in Victoria, and the victory was celebrated by around 5,000 fans. The first goal was scored by Manny Aguek in the 10th minute, followed by Marco Jankovic's header in the 19th minute. Despite Marconi's efforts to respond, South Melbourne maintained control and secured the win. This achievement adds another significant chapter to South Melbourne's storied history, reinforcing its status as one of Australia's most successful football clubs.

Bottom line is if you're going bad, change things around, don't wait, hoping things will turn around. If it doesn't work well, at least you tried.

Next 3 games, against lesser opposition than the last 3, will tell us if he’s received the dawn of knowledge.
Or if its a false dawn.

Farke seems to have finally realised you can not keep playing tippy tappy football at this level and also figured out albeit by chance that you can change formation when needs be.
Also good to see he has started making the subs earlier of late.

Was he ever really in danger of being sacked I would suggest he was given the games lost prior to the City game.

Credit to him for the recent performances but we are still stuck in the survival battle with some very tricky games to come.
