So basically in any league in europe you have a group of 5 or 6 and the rest play in a minority one.The American model is just pure business so don't tell me football is not? I grew up a sports freak from watching tennis Cricket Athletics Swiming Football oz football and every other sport you could name. Now I only watch ozzy football and i restrict to onl;y watching my team to world football where I only watch Leeds games with a cameo of some other games. To me all sport is the same as it's only a business and nothing else where the rich get richer and the poor stay the same. I sure as hell thinking of ditching the two sports left if there was something diffrent to watch apart from cops and robbers and murders on tv.
Sorry Oz. It's ridiculous to compare Austrailia to the US. You have 29 million people in the entire country and if my limited knowledge of your country is correct you have 90% of the land mass that's barely inhabited and no major cities. Maybe 10 cities that can support top flight football teams.

The US has 330 million and a 100 cities that could easily support 1 or more high level pro teams. A significant potential for many of these cities to support 1 or more teams. If you can support baseball or basketball with over a 100 games a year you can sure support a sport with 50 or less games a season.

You could easily argue that your league was constructed using the concept that only certain cities could financially support high level football teams.

That argument holds no water in the US. Some major cities with pro sports team in other sports don't even have 1 MLS team. It's just a *******ization of the super league concept with much less interest or talent. However, plenty of money and interest should it go to a relegation/promotion format.

Since I'm disagreeing with you I'll go ahead and argue the other point and the main reason for the thread. I think that our ownership has done a good job and is showing steady progress. I expect some good things this summer just like last.

At least first year back it was exciting and we finished way better with no team improvements at all. Again the season has proven that this was the worst year on premier league history ! Just have a look at goals scored! If you call freebies and cheap buys as improvement well not much I can say to that. I hope your saying the same end of next season as the BS drs already saying we don't have much to spend on players, We will wait till after the WC and see what happens! Does that sound similar to past NO? The fact the most expensive buys were flops says alot for the improvements. Again let?s see what happens .
Another doom and gloomier, Stach a major signing is class, Okafor our most expensive improved as the season went on, Gunner has been a great signing

FFS you claim wtf is a baddy yet you act the same. I put it up as a farking joke to sprike afew up and some have fallen for it as it appears.
AnywayWTF isn't so bad some of his points a valid just comes across bad as not all of us have customer service skills.
WTF is with undisclosed fees? How is that allowed lol
Anton Stach (from Hoffenheim): €20.00mNoah Okafor (from AC Milan): €19.00mJaka Bijol (from Udinese): €18.00mLucas Perri (from Lyon): €16.00mSebastiaan Bornauw (from Wolfsburg): Undisclosed (Part of overall budget)Gabriel Gudmundsson (from Lille): UndisclosedSean Longstaff (from Newcastle United): UndisclosedJames Justin (from Leicester City): UndisclosedDominic Calvert-Lewin (Free Agent): FreeLukas Nmecha (Free Agent): Free
For me Gabriel was the best of them all Stack good but not consistent and injured. Okafor did some good things not sold on him and watching him against the oz friendly hasn't change my mind and like Stach oftain injured. The rest well bijol I guess but in a normal defence he propably fails, Perri what can I say, Bornauw wtf, Nmecha didn't get a chance as hardly played but did well scoring all those goals from limited time. DCL well I thought what have we got here in the first half of the season and he kept us alive but second half was terrible.
Going to be quite afew changes lets see what happens.

New players take time to integrate and we finished 14th and could easily have been a few places higher.

Improving the squad is also different to Farke utilising it properly.
LOL another fell for it hehe Yeah I'm ok just having a bit of fun for a pickup off season. I'm really pissed off with this already crooked world cup though.

Apologies, not easy to see the joke with some posts......

Been mentioned Farke wanting a new keeper, that would be great, Darlow spent to long content as 2nd keeper at Barcodes, Perri hasn't settled in, maybe he will yet. But shows intent to get position right, look at Chelsea, how much they hsve spent on trying to get GK position correct. Looking at table, notwithstanding tactical formations, we lost at least 5pts from howlers in games where we were in control, that would have us level with Chelsea and Fulham....

                  Darlow is dead on hi.
Hard to trust Farkes judgement on goalkeepers when he made Misslier a vice captain and kept him in goals until his position was totally untenable.
