I think their is a perception that the Prem is some mystical level of football brilliance. That perception was furthered by the extremely poor performance of the 3 promoted teams as well as others before them. However, none of them showed a lick of attacking football. Parking the bus for 30 games is a sure fire way to fail.

Aston Villa, Brentford, Crytstal Palace, Fulham, and frankly New Castle even though they have a huge dollar owner show that fiscal smarts and good coaching and tactics can keep you up and even flourish. Spurs and Scum show you that huge dollar expenditures don't ensure success. A bad coaching job or recruiting can lose you games as quickly as not spending money.

Nothing with the moment it's only a second division if we win it. Even if its major it's the past enjoy it and still celebrate it but the future is more important than the past.

Correct all the money in the premier league now makes sure smaller clubs can't compete and every season becomes a survival for them.
If we go in with the same belief in MBs days and don't spend some and bring in some real quality that's what we will be another survival club.
