That means we have Piroe and Nmecha (who has an injury prone track record) up front. Surely, they must have at least one decent number 9 coming in.

Muniz, El Khannouss and possibly Doak appear to be the key targets - if Muniz, Mitro or someone of that ilk doesn?t come off it could be an impossibly hard season.
We still have Greenwood np for the season

    • Exactly a week to go to Everton - recruitment team need to step it up a notch so Farke has time to integrate whoever we sign (assuming that happens).

Everton at home is winnable, Farke just needs the tools to do it.

El Khannouss has a release clause that runs out on Friday and it we are that keen on him surely they can just get it done.

Farke seems to want another winger, a full back as back up and it?s clear we need more up front.

Sunderland have been absolutely ripping up the window all over the pitch - Xhaka is a tremendous signing. Even Burnley are bringing more players in.

      • Khannouss now favourite to join Newcastle.

So disappointing. We started this transfer window well and it?s now petering out to a standstill.

Very frustrating for everyone. Why is it we can?t get players in? - pay the price or be prepared for relegation. We get a proven striker in or the odds of us returning to the Championship increase significantly. Then we have to offload players on Prem salaries. Doesn?t make any sense to me.

Smart 49ers need to step up! Takes weeks to integrate players into a team that can compete so why would they hand such a disadvantage to Farke? His job will be tough enough, help the guy out and get business done ?. Just sayin.

        • Exactly, for the previous two seasons he?s been here he?s had to rebuild from scratch and now he?s having to do so again, it seemed we were progressing well but every man and his dog knew we needed a midfield creater and striker, yes we?ve improved other areas but those two were the main objective, Norwich never backed farke in both seasons he took them up, I thought we would help him but we?ve not done quite enough, it then galls me when people slag him off when he?s worked miracles both seasons to get us up, play off final and league winners in two seasons is superb, he?s no failure.

          • Plus, players are keen enough to go to Sunderland and Burnley, who are also considered relegation contenders, so why is it difficult to persuade players to come here

            • Agree. I really did thing our owners would give him the tools to do the job. Tick tock ???,

It could even be Yorkshire? In the past, I heard players didn't want to move there! It might be the Manager, as even 2 of the ones he brought to Norwich don't even want to come in, Buenda and Sargeant. It can't be the atmosphere, as the small ground can even accommodate 1000 people and still make noise.
Or perhaps it's just a silly non-European comp, as the greedy players make even more profit if they progress.
Or just maybe they just get more money from other clubs as the 49ers are known to be a budget management company.

                  • Leeds and Yorkshire are incredible and hallway better than Sunderland (or Sorry Alf Burnley).

Great houses, dales close by, good food and incredible golf.

We just seem to be cautious at times couple with short arm syndrome.

                    • Can understand the waiting game for the real quality / marquee signings, but for the squad players still required throughout, James etc, are they available yes / right price yes / want the move yes / then whats the hold up

                      • Dovbyk?
GDS say that Roma are willing to cash in if an offer of ?32m arrives for the big striker, which is well within Leeds? budget.

Dovbyk played 80 minutes for Roma under the watchful eye of Leeds scouts against Leeds? first Premier League opponents

                        • Sunderland yet again sniffing around, how the hell can that 2bit club beat us every time to players, if the media is to be believed, which it isn?t

They haven't been wrong so far.

                            • If the media reports are to be believed the we are bidding less than Atalanta for Muniz. We supposedly upped our offer from 32 to 34.5 whereas Atalanta have put in a bid of about 38.

Seems we want caviar but are only prepared to pay for salmon.
