Well if it was ?reported? it must be true, tho I never actually heard him say it, did you. Am sure whatever he?s on at Spurs was far more than we can offer? did you expect him to take pay cuts? Makes me laugh how fans accuse players of no loyalty?. Yet any player we transfer in has just shown a lack of loyalty to his existing team? hypocrisy?

You realise nowadays if you report BS, you can be sued, right? On the contrary, if it is not true, let's just say the victim comes forward and calls it a lie. If we don't want to believe anyone, why are we here or read over there, and watch way over the yonder?Originally posted by spaldy View PostThose reporters are little more than propagandists and apparatchik
All the reports so far that were in for have not been wrong once, have they? This Everton lad was reported we were into him 3 months ago.
Real reporters take their jobs seriously and are normal people. The ones you may be comparing them with are the idiots on TV, like The View in America.
Here in Oz we have some really great current affairs programs which have gone where you won't believe to get to the truth and open my own eyes to what the hell is going on.
On Solomon, he was interviewed by a jorno with other jornos there asking questions, and that was his response, like I said.

Yeah, other clubs are looking into him for a bargain price 49ers will accept. Mate Farke is an idiot, that's why he has never succeeded at top levels. He will never play him and is just showcasing him for other clubs in friendlies.Originally posted by spaldy View PostI know he's really young but is Harry in the mix anywhere?

See Doak who we are linked with has agreed to join Bournemouth so another one bites the dust.
Forest are seemingly going to bring in Kulimuendo up front even though they are already pretty strong there. Sure we were linked with him at some point too. They signed McAtee too - also previously linked with us. I think Hutchinson from Ipswich is now confirmed too
Sunderland signed a defender from PSG yesterday taking the amount they have spent to just over £140m.
Brentford have just splashed 42m on a striker from Bournemouth (and about 90m in total).
Everton have spent 82m so far.
In comparison despite MararheÂ’s promise of a big war chest we have spent just over 70m and brought in two freebies.
Still feeling a little underwhelmed. There also appears to be cognitive dissonance going on between what the club say they will do and what they are actually doing. Now less than 2 weeks of the window left - tick tick tick.
When we came up under Radrizani we spent over 100m by way of comparison.
All of the top teams are strengthening and outspending us - even beyond the top 4.
They are typically buying players in the 20 to 40m bracket - our top signing cost 17.4.
Normally see things in a happier light and hope IÂ’m wrong but once more we are running out of time and all the while players we were said to be interested in sign elsewhere. CÂ’mon Leeds show a little bit of ambition to plug so obvious gaps.

Reading that Liverpool Echo asked Moyes whether that lag in recognition over how much potential Everton have to improve had surprised him, Moyes was pragmatic. He said:
'If you're trying to get the players we want to get, the players really want to play in Europe. The players want European football now. But I have been a little surprised.
I have to say we have been in for a lot of players, but Its not just that, sometimes we have not been able to reach the fees or different bits and pieces, but quite a lot of other players have sort of said, no, we will rather see how it goes'.
So, kinda suggest why we at Leeds have not gotten all the better targets hoped for in too.

Moyes is a solid coach. A lot has changed in the game/system since he started coaching and he's stayed relevant. Definitely a case of the "haves and have nots". The haves are fewer in number but much harder to compete against in the transfer market.
I think over time the Prem may look more like the Bundesliga. However, instead of only having one team that the rules don't seem to apply to the prem will have 6 or so.
It will put tremendous pressure on the youth academies and scouting staffs. Fail at those and you'll be relegated.... maybe for years. it will also require being a lot more ruthless on selling prize players for top dollar to fund the others.
I do find it kind of interesting that no one is mentioning Harry. I hope that's just to get through this window without someone swooping in on him.

Now that the dust has settled, and we will actually be playing today, i think we will find that the style Farke wants the team to play when going forward requires 2 quality wingers who can score. Last season we had Solomon and James. This season, its going to be Harrison/Gnonto/Ramazani/James. A bit worrying. As for the striker position, I am not sure Piroe has the speed for the Prem. That is the one defining feature of the Prem. Speed. Like Erling Haaland and Mohammad Salah. Calvert-Leuwin was fast, probably still is, but cannot be relied upon to play week in week out. It bothers me that we don't have a load of speedy players like many teams. But of course i could be completely wrong. We shall see today.Originally posted by spaldy View PostMoyes is a solid coach. Farke on Harry Gray at last presser, Spaldy.Originally posted by spaldy View PostI do find it kind of interesting that no one is mentioning Harry. I hope thats just to get through this window without someone swooping in on him.
'The plan is to take the focus away from him and not to speak about him too much. A 16-year-old youngster, I wont speak too much about Harry because its difficult when you play for Leeds United, you have this last famous name Gray with the whole stadium singing your name and everyone expects you to celebrate once we get promoted as if you are the only one promoted. Its never healthy for development so my message is leave him alone a little bit, give him time to grow and develop. So this is the last time I will speak about him in a press conference, when he?s on the pitch then we can speak about him again'.
