Between 2024 and 2025 Leeds it was reported were in the top 3 for net PsR profit on player sales. That would include Sinnisterra, Rutter, Gray and Summerville amongst others.
The club made the announcement of creating new shares in the amount of 120m all of which have been paid up. Commercially with the sponsorship, kit deals, match day revenues and merchandise sales we can match some prem teams let alone the EFL.
Firpo is all but gone, Joffy, Greenwood and Gyabi are clearly going, JG has gone, Rothwell and Solomon have returned. Byram even if he stays is not a regular starter.
The club has made much about preparing and planning for a return and so surely must have lined up targets.
As has been said above even a ?deluge? of one player such as Solomon who by all counts wants to come to us would be a positive sign and if we need to sell anyone to sign him the we are in a whole heap of trouble. The first short window is half way through yet the board appear to be still focusing on Glasgow.

When you add in cups I think Kelleher made 68 1st team appearances for PoolOriginally posted by Monaco_Totty View PostBrentford needed a keeper quickly so we shall see, H, as goalkeeper prospects have to deal with lots during their learning curve.
I note Kellehers time at Liverpool began in the summer of 2015 when he joined from Ringmahon Rangers based in Cork, Ireland, where he was born & raised.
After a decade at Liverpool Kelleher only has 25 senior appearances to show for it.
So with 11% of appearances from a possible 228 at Liverpool, the one component of his game to let him down will be the lack of exploitation of the game at a high level.
She
Paired with the fact that Brentford claimed the second most blocks in the PL league in the most recent campaign shows that Kelleher will be tested a lot if Frank does not bolster his defence this summer.
So we shall see his development under the 24/7 critical eyes of PL football pundits & fans weekly comments.
Still think experience via age is what we require & that includes the ups & downs gained from playing many matches under pressure situations at top level week in, imo.

Context put by me as in PL 'regular' first team experience under the cosh of 24/7 media.
'Tho granted he had experienced 8 in Europa League & 2 CL 2020/21 & 4 further CL apps in 2024/24, WS.👌
Caoimh?n Kelleher Statistics | Premier League

His full stats here since 2015 to 2025 at 'Pool.
But personally I still think age matters for what Leeds need & require right now.
Each of us regardless of our background or current circumstances has the capacity for change & growth & recognising our habits, especially those that may be holding us back is a crucial first step towards betterment.
So, likewise in goalkeepers as one has gotta ask themselves which habits are serving you & which ones might be limiting your potential ?
I noticed at a local event where I live that my 'bro does every year that all the kids want to grow up to be outfield players & few sadly wanna be keepers - so goalkeepers in my eyes are undervalued & easy prey to criticise which is a toughie on the aspiring keepers of tomorrow.

There will be a few young goalkeepers & footballers out there now 'reflecting' before making decisions particularly if Leeds want to speak to them, for sure, as plenty to consider & digest.

'Stoking some smoke 'tho.
According to a report from L??quipe France, Leeds United have 'sent an offer' of 26m euros/22m pounds to RC Strasbourg for their young club captain Habib Diarra, aged 21.
Reports stating Villa & Rennes have both been linked too but it appears that Leeds are the first club to enter into concrete talks to try & secure the young Senegalese international.
Young Diarra is very much a box to box centre-midfielder known for his versatile ability to progress the ball & provides 90 mins of counter-attacking threat with lots of natural stamina, similar style to Mateusz Klich. Played as a winger alongside my brother in French national junior football a while back & has done well since becoming the most fouled player in Ligue 1 last season & playing all games consistently without injury.
Strasbourg officially qualified for the UEFA Conference League tournament after PSG beat Reim 3-0 in the French Cup final this year.
Hell of an achievement for the youngest team in Europe from battling relegation the season before to qualifying for Europe now.
'Tho I expect Strasbourg will now wait & see how the market is gonna respond to the Leeds opening offer, particularly with their captain now being able to play European Conference football under a great young head coach in Liam Rosenior, 40, who has only just extended his own contract at the club until June 2028, having turned down multiple approaches from clubs to commit to the French Ligue 1 side, so state his agents Wasserman Group, which is a global sports marketing & talent management company based in Los Angeles.
Rosenior was previously sacked by Hull City in 2024 after a 7th place finish caused the team to narrowly miss out on the play-offs & still plays the basic 4 2 3 1 & utilises well a more exciting direct approach via a 3-2-2-2-1 when required, too, with Diarra being instrumental.

If and it?s still a big if we sign Diarra, Uche and McAtee then that would plug a lot of weaknesses in midfield.
We then need a GK, CB, LB and Striker so a lot of work left to do.
They need to purge the deadwood too
Bambi (his recent comments suggest he still thinks he is the man though)
Joffy (think he could do a job for us but Farke doesn?t rate him)
Greenwood
Gyabi
Wober
Harrison
Meslier
Possibly Aaronson
That would also free up a lot of wage bill. Bambi now moves back to 80k per week👀

If you seen the money Bambi is on you wouldn't leave either. Another master stroke by mr orta. The furor has had a chat to aaronson and told him this is what you have to do in the premier league so his not going anywhere. Wober already told not wanted. The way we are going on transfer front don't be surprised to see meslier remain. And the re introduction of Harrison. The other 3 championship at best.Originally posted by hopelesslyoptimistic View PostIf and it?s still a big if we sign Diarra, Uche and McAtee then that would plug a lot of weaknesses in midfield.

A while back MT commented on the nature of timing on transfer window. I hadn't really thought of it that way having grown up in US sports where transfer windows and relegation are non existent.
It does make sense that signing way early is probably more costly in many cases and signing late leads to desperation so it is an art to pick up those gems that well run teams like Brentford and Brighton seem to do well. I hope we can follow that model better than in the past.
