Yeah but as a promoted club you need the certainty and the time to work with the new players so that you have a cohesive squad and tactics and can start the season well.
Everything is stacked against the teams going up so if you want to stay up you need to do everything to create small advantages.
If you have made some decent signings it probably helps to bring in the ones that are harder to land as they can see the club is serious too.
Solomon we could probably have got across the line and agreed a deal with Spurs immediately post promotion and at the start of the last window but we waited and then things changed at Spurs so Solomon thinks he has a chance there.
