    Great signing for us !

Watched his games regular on Tv here so his stats dont lie.
Quite unorthodox in his style tho, defo a shot stopper so defenders gonna have to be alert as the ball often pings off him all over the place.
Strong mental character too & very aware but his quick fire flashy ball blocking techniques hides the fact hes very solid in all departments particularly his awareness of game flow.

Keepers come & go but I'm glad we have a mature aged keeper personally now.
My young brother actually took an opportunity to join the UAB Blazers USA 'soccer' team who offered him an intercollegiate varsity sports program at the University of Alabama at
Birmingham for one year as Nantes cleared their playing decks but with two older keepers in his way he moved on.

Had offers from Sweden,Scotland & French leagues too but wanted a new challenge to further his international experience before his next step up, so with Nantes being a selling club to survive it was quite a wrench to leave the club he supported & joined aged 10 - such is life for for 21 year old pro keepers nowadays opportunity wise.

FC Nantes wanted him to stay for one more season but made a a nice tribute to him before his departure in the Euro Youth League.

      • Indeed -would give the 49ers an A for window dealing if that happens.

Hey MT how the devil are you? Hope all is going well with the Stork process too 😎.

          • Your brother is a Blazer!

My daughters used to play against them in Basketball.

Make sure your brother catches a Alabama or Auburn football game. Obviously different sport, school and conference but it's the real deal. Not much different than some of the best derbies in football. Auburn vs Alabama game matches up against even Lpool/Everton on the intensity of the game as well as pre game.

            • Firstly, I just wish to remind non Americans on this site, that i told you 49ers management is one of the most careful and methodical teams in American sport. This was in response to those who were impatient with the lack of acquisitions early in the summer.
I see Paxao is a possible acquisition. No way this happens without moving Harrison and/or Ramazani out.

                Pregnancy ?
Had a few moments but I've maintained my healthy lifestyle & still eating my strict daily nutritious foods & am getting plenty of rest for sure as now only working 2 days per week from home now via my lappy.

Actually got my Gran living with me too presently which is lovely being fussing over while Mum & Dad are away enjoying 'van-
                life'.
So yep, defo prepared for everything my son is giving me ☺ & have packed my hospital bag too H.

Gonna be a hell of a season for us but plenty of teams seem to be chopping & changing their squads so maybe we can catch a few out & pick up some points early days while they adjust. 👍

Gotta a feeling DF is gonna go at it 'unleashed' & hopefully utilise everyone during each 90 mins game time as this'll be required if hes gonna up our pace potential when we have the ball - so feeling confident going into the August start for sure now.

Maybe the wind of tactical-changes will rattle a a few PL stalwart teams during our tactical-engagement cos pace is gonna be crucial when we have the ball, imo, which we do have now all over the park, imo.

Congratulations Monaco! I did not know otherwise I would have sent my well wishes sooner. I hope you have an uneventful and healthy time until the big moment.

Yes I’m happy with the way we have recruited Totty, We have spent money without feeling we are over paying, early days but we looking more prepared for PL rather than last time hoping MB could get 120% out of a small honest trusted squad.

                        • Was looking at our financials & we are certainly being prudent.

Which kinda sways us away from from those awful mercenary mega ego personality signing scenarios & those chancers carrying 'managed' injuries looking for deals who were signed in past windows.

So circa 75m now spent from the 100m war chest that ownership group 49ers Enterprises mooted was available for transfers ahead of PL 2025-26 kick off.
So the summer has seen 14 men in including those back from loan spells thus far & 17 shipped out, i believe thus far.

Well spent ? For me a yes - 'tho a striker would be nice too & a few more out or off our books hopefully as well.
Recent terrific keeper signing & off loading Isaac Schmidt now leaves some honest decisions to be made still.

                          • Interesting PL prize money last seasons clubs picked up consisting of UK & international merit broadcast payments, equal distribution shares, commercial revenues & facility fees !

The 'facility fee' is for matches broadcast on domestic TV. Noted Liverpool had 30 of their 38 league matches televised, more than any other club - interesting to see how many of our games are on TV for 25/26. 👍

All clubs received a central commercial payment of 7.9m plus equal shares from UK 29.8m & international 59.2m revenues, too.

Nice to secure a mid-table finish 'tho. 🤞

                            • Feel like we need to add a striker, number 10 and a left footed winger (unless Harrison is going to stay).

Another left back as cover would be helpful.

Need to see a few exits too. Looking at the wage bill list above - if correct - then Bambi and Harrison alone make up approx ?8.5m of the wage bill - a lot of money for players unlikely to be any real part of Farke?s plans.

We are in much better shape at this stage than I feared we would be and a lot of key positions filled but still a lot of work to do if Farke is to be given the best chance for success.

                              • MT,

congrats. Being a parent is the best thing ever happened to me. It's a hard job but worth it at the end. It's also something you have when it comes time to check out. Nothing material matters at that time but the love and support from loved ones matters a lot.

Very happy with this window. The best that I ever recall. Only complaint is we have not offloaded some players that don't fit in Farke's plan.

A little fuzzy on the winger issue. We have Rama, Gnonto, Harrison and James and have some youth that one of which might step up. That's a whole better than the bottom had in last years prem.

Same on strikers. Nmenca and Piroe aren't chopped liver and we have Harry in the wings along with some other youth.

we have a very good squad elsewhere. Think some of our signings could be the real deal. We aren't a top 10 team but we also aren't likely to be a relagated team.
