  • Robbie Evans

So Robbie Evans our ex-Chief Strategy Officer reckons we require 10 wins then for survival.
Hopefully we can get those early doors for Robbie before the congested fixture lists implode onto our squad members.

Evans is an economics graduate of Stanford University & came armed with 49ers' experience & an impressive 'past' CV, folks.

Evans moved to the UK from the USA in 2023 to work full-time at ER, having spent the previous 11 years with Invitae, the medical genetics company. Before that he worked in strategic planning with the San Francisco 49ers & since working with Leeds Evans has overseen the clubs recruitment & football analytics departments.

I noted in Feb 2025 Invitae Corporation genetic testing company Invitae announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in New Jersey & at the time of the filing, the company had assets worth 500m dollars to 1 billion dollars with debts of 1 billion dollars to 10 billion dollars, blaming poorly-timed acquisitions, macroeconomic headwinds & turnover in its top ranks.
Err, sounding promising for us then. 🤞

Oh, any further advice for 'Our Robbie' now our MD can be sent direct to him for those wishing to offer 'enlightening suggestions' to forward our clubs prospects further, at
    [email protected]👍

His genetic engineering tec skills experience should have Piroes replacement ready for the New Year, allegedly. 👍

New keeper still in progress 'tho after suffering a fuse blow out at TA, again.
But our medical team are working on it with help from the AA Electric Auto service crew in attendance.

        No idea, but he's as delusional as a few other head wallahs of the past;

        Read it and weep.....

On Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the window closed, Leeds's managing director Robbie Evans spoke to the media about his side’s business

        Some "nuggets";

"A set-piece-taking, inside of wing, No 10 type is the one thing we’re still sort of missing..."

And next answer (as to "are we still looking")

"I don’t think, right now, there’s any need so great it’s worth going to the free-agent market to fill it. ....."

        Priceless.

According to the LUFC media boffins & wizards we should have 56m of amortisation in the 25/26 accounts now. 😬

8.6m of income in, with 24m of this a result of this summer window & another 32m was already there from previous spending.

When we last went up we had around 33m of total amortisation on the books & had loaded 26m of it in that summer.
But then later re-stated that with an extra 15.5m for the JKA losses.

            So now have we have got 45m amortisation loaded into 2026/27, 32m into 2027/28, 24m into 2028/29 & 3m into 29/30 !

To be fair our Revenue will have grown since our first PL season under Radz 'tho.

Conclusion is we are 'down to the bone' with PSR now if we assume salaries are proportionate to the amortisation position, as predicted by the bird with wonky lips.

Gotta be grateful for the bread & water of 3.4m for Greenwood & 5.1m for Rasmus going as we also had 4m of remaining amortisation to book in on him - so a net 3.1m gain for Our Robbie😐

Unless anyone knows any better that appears to be the general consensus of our current position.
Maybe that elusive 'last-signing' that got away may have forced a sale in Jan of one of our current squad. So points to consider for sure.

              Not sure he?s not correct.

Have you seen scum, wolves, west ham or brentford yet? They don?t look like world beaters. A lot of parity this year. Palace just lost their star and several teams have shorter benches than we do

The caution exercised in signings doesn?t reflect a belief we are doomed but a prudent approach to long term stability. Not exactly something we have had for a long time

Fair points Spaldy, along my lines of reasoned thoughts too.

If we can retain PL status with the 45million in & more positives coming in from the revenue side of our books, then hopefully after a season in the PL we can then hunt those 'appropriate' higher premium players that would help us up the next teetering steps of those longer PL ladders. 👍

We all shall see, as all other clubs will be saying too, but I agree we do have players with physicality & pace that can inflict maximum damage on the counter attack now, imo.

I rather like our squad. So tired of having squads that get pushed around on restarts and corners. It's killed us since the MB era.

Barring a catastrophic start to the season I think we'll settle down and end up just above the relegation zone. The early injuries to our midfield is troubling.

Elland Road has to be a fortress for us to survive.

                          Injuries ?

One positive for time out recovering from injury 'tho Spaldy, is 'a player gets to know his body' & having to watch lots of games from the sidelines they can learn a lot more too.

When playing they are 100 per cent focused on what to do so by watching from the sidelines offers them a different perspective which is good for them to learn from & implement into their game when fit.

My bro had micro-chips inside his training ball which monitored everything from velocity, spin & how his hands/fingers reacted to it. He was then shown the results & had to watch taped play backs to see how he could have handled the ball better & safer.

Looking at the current PL injury table via the Physio room list then we a currently quite lucky.
The Premier League Injury Table by PhysioRoom. The best place for all EPL injury news and updates for Premier League fans & FPL Managers.

Apparently our Medical dept is top dollar equipment & staff wise. Most elite PL clubs are paying a salary of 250k for their Physio now, too, alongside a plethora of staff checking the players wearable technology of GPS & LPS devices used to monitor player loads, movements & progress during training & matches, all providing data for performance analysis specifically for injury prevention.

Lots of tec, in everything now, I was always having issues attempting to reset or revive the 'high drain' body-pack for my singing perfomance wireless mic, which is a right malarky for any singer in doing their regular voltage checks with a multimeter, so far 'tho no fire, shocks or god forbid explosions from the lithium-Ion power cells yet during an audio set up ! 😬

In the safety world wearables are now becoming rather common. They track your movements with emphasis on unsafe movements and efficiencies

You wanna see my pm's box tonight asking the same question, so gonna keep a dignified silence, Spaldy. Xxx
