Collective negotiation is anti-competitive. If there was a provable conspiracy they Chelsea could potentially take those conspirators to the cleaners. A dubious operator in Chelsea would end up being the victim.
All clubs are 'self-interested', they'll buy a player if the money makes sense. If the devil himself owned a club you can guarantee that Boely would do business with them.
The one thing that is clearly stated in the 'owner's charter' is that they are supposed to act in good faith and good conscience.
Nothing that they have done since they arrive on the Fulham rd can be either in good faith of conscience.
Bending the rules to practically breaking point is flaunting the conventions of the Premier League totally.
This is the bit where the Prem board, Masters and his cadre of Co-conspirators of the Cartel are complicate in not enforcing the rules and upholding the integrity of the league.
With potential sponsorship of the Spur's stadium I see that the PiF are engaging in 'soft power' influence. Turning the weakest poor relative of the Fraud 6 into a neutral entity possibly an covert ally.
Either way, in the years to come the PiF's financial power will come to bare on the Premier League meaning more clubs will vote inline with Newcastle United and we will begin to dictate the rule changes and general governance.
Once we have that power base no doubt we'll move on to UEFA. FIFA is already in pocket. So watch this space. Softly, softly catchy monkey.

Any idea of the value? as this may be them sticking a toe in the water for what they can put in for sponsorship of our new stadium
🤔
No idea about the details. I just heard that there was a potential sponsorship deal.
It sets president of the price indeed. Also, as I said this could well be an exercise in soft power. One thing is clear, Levy is for sale.
When the next vote comes up at the Premier League AGM that favours NUFC, you can bet your bottom dollar Spurs will suddenly be changing their allegiances to ensure he get that his grubby paws on Saudi money.
The captain of the cheerleaders for the APT rules suddenly our lap dog.
Delightful to see!

I think it?s worth noting that while our owners are throwing billions into other football projects they?re are still dragging their feet on a decision on our stadium, upgrading our training facilities, youth academy and paying other premier league clubs over inflated transfer fees for their sh1tty players.
If it wasn?t for Eddie Howe a lot more people would be asking more about why are they doing these things?

Investing $1billion in DANZ & by extension funding the Club World Cup has F**k all to do with any of the other points you make.
PiF, since the take over, has been trying to buy a stake in BeIN Sport, gaining access to the live sport broadcast market in the region. The Qatari's have resisted there advances. So, Saudi bought into DANZ.
DANZ already broadcast all the live boxing events.
Sponsoring a FIFA competition to ensure Saudi Secured the 2034 World Cup.
Neither of these events required, local council, architectural planning, feasibility studies & all manner of other things. Building a Stadium in a city centre location with environmental controls and National Heritage grade 1 & 2 listed is just about throwing some money around.
Buying a stake in DANZ & Sponsoring the Club World Cup have ZERO impact on the allocated budget for Newcastle United.
I really do try to be reasonably balanced and rations in my responses to all members here on the board but FFS man you're whining is just boring and smacks of a person who knows absolutely nothing.
It's just boring listening to you sh!t talk everything. The club has done everything possible within the rules and financial controls to grow the club.
Newcastle United's current valuation is estimated to be over £1 billion (US$1.3 billion). This valuation is based on the club's recent performance, increased revenue, and the increased ownership stake held by the Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Since take over the value of the club has tripled. Could it be better? Of course, nothing is perfect but you whine like we didn't just win the first domestic cup in 70s, signed world class players and qualified for the Champions League twice in 3 yrs.
It's f*cking boring listening to negative small minded people whine when things are awesome. Suck it up ya fanny, I don't think I'm the only one on here that is tired of hearing ya ill-informed bullsh!t.

Aye I've come to understand when something perceived as weird happens as Phoney pointed out, there are bigger picture events happening that we aren't party to or aware of as Raga points out.
Totally down with it. Fascinating stuff. Our owners are big time and are making big time moves I've no doubts its all good.
God moves in mysterious ways.😁

It certainly was fitting that the money team won the money competition in the most sport money orientated county in the world.
Lots of razz matazz but it makes me worry about which direction the game is going. It seemed very super league like to me.
