However...if Liverpool don't make a bid, then we're stuck with a player everyone knows doesn't want to be here. And, let's be brutally honest, he isn't a 'bust a gut' type of player at the best of times. We'll hear all the usual platitudes but I'm not sure what type of player we'll have on our hands for the year we have him.
Well I think that if Liverpool don't bid, the reality is that the player isn't as Hot a Prospect as he thinks he is and also, the media hype makes.

Furthermore, next season, Lewandowski is done. Kane will need to be replaced Real Madrid will also no doubt be sniffing around.

Next summer Isak will have far more options than this summer.

Bottom line, Sheikh Yasir's visit should give Isak the confidence that he's valued and that the issue with Mitchell are over as the guy has left the building.

It's about care and attention which appears since Amanda left has been sorely missing from the Commercial side of the business.

Eddie speaks about the club, the squad being a family, you fight for each other, you win together, you lose together but you fight every day.

He's instilled that in playing side but there is no cohesion with the commercial side of the business. Ross Wilson is mooted as the guy coming in to replace Mitchell.

    https://www.newcastleworld.com/sport...isting%20setup.

Wilson and Howe are thought to have a solid relationship, hence his status as the leading candidate. Howe - just as he was at Bournemouth - has a big say on the comings and goings at Newcastle. Any sporting director would need to fit into the current structure rather than rip up the existing setup.

The know each other and should be a more harmonious and bridge the Football and commercial side of the business as it is at the likes of City, where the business works seamlessly.

It's a real bid. From Al Hilal's point of view it's a win win.

Either they sign the player and they get a world class striker to enhance the club & League.

If they don't sign the player, Al Hilal are trending and the world of football are including their name in the conversation about the highest profile Transfer saga in the world.

It's a PR directors dream, both for the Club Al Hilal & the Saudi Pro-League.

Whether the player wants it or not remains to be seen.

            I've heard conflicting reports.

"The club" - whoever that is, there's no one there are in talks with the player but apparently it's not about a contract renewal.

However, there is a 200,000 offer on the table from before the end of the season, which doesn't make sense other wise we'd have had a flood of stories from the liars at Talk Sh!te etc saying he'd rejected a contract offer.

            or

There is a 200,000 open offer on the table. The player wants 300,000.

            or

There is a 200,000 open offer on the table, open to negotiation and still in play.

From the Saudi Journo / TV sport reporter nationals I know that Sheikh Yasir is apparently expected to fly in with a team from PIF to resolve the Isak issue and also get the other transfers done in time for the start of the season.

So we'll have to wait and see what this delightful week will bring .
