    Team News:

NUFC XI vs Man City: Pope; Livramento, Thiaw, Schar, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Barnes; Woltemade

Great to see Livramento and Hall back in starting line up.

Pope and Murphy yet again this always playing his favourites has to stop. We need Nick Nick to play like he did for Germany in the week no tracking back just stay in the danger zone but i suppose he will be tracking back as usual. Good to see Tino and Hall back starting but wish it was against someone easier then City.

Pope I agree but Murphy has justified his picking, he scored last time and he always runs himself into the ground for team.

Correct to drop Botman. Is Burn injured? He must be.
Let?s see what we can do with 2 proper full -backs (although they will likely be a bit ?rusty?). I really hope that midfield starts to ?fire? too - brilliant on paper but not done well so far this season.

I'm happy to see Murphy there.
I'm really hoping that Hall & Livramento will make a huge difference to us going forward. Maybe Six-Six Nick will be able to play further up, and Murphy not feel he has to shoot from long range so much.

And since I'm not able to watch this game, we'll probably play brilliantly and sneak a win against the odds!

Well, sounds as though we're really up for this one!

Both correct calls in terms of Murphy and Schar, imo. Botman has been way off his levels and Murphy, much as we tried to upgrade him,bis currently a better choice than his upgrade.

Pope v Ramsdale? Possibly but too many changes at the back wouldn't be good.

Great save but should have been a goal.

                        Balls.

Ooh, a reprieve. Think that's a foul elsewhere on the pitch.

They seriously need to re-think VAR.
OK, good idea to stop clear blunders by referees or linesmen. But the present implementation is just ridiculous.

I know it's obvious but we're a different team with our two full backs in the team.

Oh, and Barnes, you absolute fcuking plank.

Oof...Foden should have scored there. Evens out the Barnes miss.
