Is today an absolute must win today? Villa are 10pts ahead of us, I would say it is.

With them missing quite a few first choice mid-fielders, having a shocking record at SJP, plus their current mini blip in form L-W-D-L in their last 4. It makes the lads favourite for this one absolutely.Originally posted by PhoneymcRingRing View PostIs today an absolute must win today? Villa are 10pts ahead of us, I would say it is.
Newcastle United's home record is 7 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss in their last 10 home matches across all competitions. The 1 loss being City in the cup.
It'll be a competitive match without doubt, they are no push over and 3rd in the league for a reason.
However, as I've stated everywhere, on other threads, in NUFC group chats etc. The club, team & fans want to be Champions League regulars, title challengers & cup winners. To do so means beating those clubs around you.
Beating Villa is a must but not for any reasons of desperation but for the reasons that the club is a force to be reconned with, a genuine top team and threat.
A draw from a winning position will feel like a lose and infuriate the knuckle draggers. I will be annoyed if points are dropped from a winning position at home 100%. However, I had confidence that the team are more than capable of wining this one.
