*A variety of sources* What, The Telgraphs news pages, the Telegraphs comment pages and the Telegraphs sports pages?Originally posted by forwardmagpie View PostBFP - after reading reviews of yesterdays spending review from many different sources, the current state of the economy shrinking by 0.3% and unemployment rising I could do with cheering up, could you let me have a reply with all the good things this government are doing to and I quote Mrs Reeves ?to deliver a Britain where every family will feel safer, healthier and better off? ?
Anyway what a weird post, why are you are asking me questions about claims made by Rachel Reeves, Im not her spokesman.
You must be happy about the U-turn on the WFA? I remember you complaining vociferously about that particular cut to the welfare state because it affected people you know.

I just don't see how the cost or necessity, can be justified by stating that it will somehow tackle immigration.
Downing Street is exploring a proposal to introduce digital ID cards for every adult in Britain in a move to tackle the UK’s illegal migration crisis, according to reports.
The new “BritCard” would be used to check on an individual’s right to live and work in Britain, with senior No 10 figures examining the proposal, The Times has reported.
The card, stored on a smartphone, would reportedly be linked to government records and could check entitlements to benefits and monitor welfare fraud.
Many will also not like that it is to be stored on a smartphone, leading to claims that it's able to be used as a tracking tool?

Thanks BFP, unsurprisingly you have nothing to contribute (when you usually have plenty to say) other than to try and change the topic.Originally posted by BigFatPie View Post*A variety of sources* What, The Telgraphs news pages, the Telegraphs comment pages and the Telegraphs sports pages?

Try reading the Guardian!
The WFA was always poorly implemented and the realisation that as most thinking people knew it needed to be changed but the subsequent U turn will probably be poorly implemented as well.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts;
Behold, I will break the bow of Elam,
The chief of their might.
And upon Elam will I bring the four winds
From the four quarters of heaven,
And l will scatter them toward all those winds;
And there shall be no nation
Whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
For I will scause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies,
And before them that seek their life:
And I will bring evil upon them,
Even tmy fierce anger, saith the Lord;
And I will send the sword after them,
Till I have consumed them:
And vI will set my throne in Elam,
And will destroy from thence the king and the princes,
Saith the Lord.
But it shall come to pass wxin the latter days,
That I will bring again the captivity of Elam,
Saith the Lord.
This could rid the world of Islamification,well apart from GB maybe where Heir Starmer with do all he can to support it over British Nationals.

All kicking off in Ireland, those damned racists.................
One thing that people seem to be genuinely unaware of (maybe) is that companies who are making millions out of homing illegals, are outbidding locals for vacant properties.
I'm in the UK at the moment and just found out that a former council house quite close to where I live, has be acquired by I think, SERCO and will be turned in to a six bedroome property for asylum seekers.

On a slight tangent, there's a large worry about what this is likely to lead to. Basically, Blackstone (under the umbrella of Blackrock) is buying swathes of houses in the UK so that people won't be able to outright buy property (at least if they're competing against banks/investment funds) and that'll lead to a rental/subscription service in the future.Originally posted by Med Pie View PostAll kicking off in Ireland, those damned racists.................

The older generation get blamed for being racist, voting for Brexit and Reform etc.Originally posted by Med Pie View PostAll kicking off in Ireland, those damned racists
Yet the racist riots in Southport and Ireland seem to be conducted by the majority of under 40s?
