So the latest from our great leader is "this is what we've decided you're allowed to do, but we don't want you to do it because it will lead to more deaths. If you do it and it does lead to more deaths, don't say we didn't warn you".
It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

I know it's much easier to be in opposition than it is to be in power, but it seems that in an hour Boris Johnson is set to impose the sort of restrictions Keir Starmer proposed two days ago. How many times now is it that Starmer says what we should do, Johnson dismisses it, but then does exactly what Starmer said a few days later?
A few days later means that more people die before their time.

It really doesnt matter what restrictions are imposed. As there is a minority of morons who have a total none compliance for Lockdowns, mass gatherings, wearing face masks and travelling to places under movement restriction. These are the irresponcible people that need arresting and be infected with the disease, and left to suffer..Originally posted by Elite_Pie View PostI know it's much easier to be in opposition than it is to be in power, but it seems that in an hour Boris Johnson is set to impose the sort of restrictions Keir Starmer proposed two days ago. I agree. Even though he's gone, Dominic Cummings has a lot to answer for.Originally posted by durhampie View PostIt really doesnt matter what restrictions are imposed. So right, Durham. At the local Spar shop the other day, a truck pulled into the car park. Out stepped 4 men aged 20 - 40, not one had a mask and they took great delight in ignoring the gaffer tape lines organised by the shop's management.Originally posted by durhampie View PostIt really doesnt matter what restrictions are imposed. Several customers appalled as they laughed and lolloped their way to the tills, intimidating the girls on the cash registers.

These are the morons that need to be targeted. Arrest a few every day with numbers compatible to the daily death toll, and see how the others react to that..Originally posted by sidders View PostSo right, Durham. Are people still trying to blame the public? The silly tw@t was saying on telly yesterday that schools ‘were safe’., his Secretary of State was threatening to sue schools for shutting early before Christmas and now they’re shut until the middle of Feb. He’s been late to lockdown every single time during this pandemic. Now he’s making impossible promises with the vaccines.
The incompetence would be hilarious if people weren’t dying as a result.

That's the most staggering bit of all. Yesterday he was telling parents of Primary school kids 'send them to school', despite huge opposition from many quarters. ONE DAY later, he's telling the same parents 'keep your kids at home'! So what exactly has changed in a day?Originally posted by BigFatPie View PostAre people still trying to blame the public? I couldn't help but notice that when he delivered his carefully rehearsed address reading from an autocue, there were none of the usual 'ums' and 'errs' in between words. Contrast that with him being asked a direct question where he has to think for himself, and the ums and errs are very, very frequent.

During the first lockdown when the weather was good, I'd take the dog over the park and would hardly see a soul. In the last couple of months, despite the various restrictions and the weather being sh1te, there have been large groups of people everywhere.Originally posted by durhampie View PostThese are the morons that need to be targeted. National lockdown? That's a joke! Few differences to tier 4 apart from schools. I have personal experience of what school leaders have gone through over the last few days, only to now be told the school will be closed tomorrow anyway.
Garden centres still open - basically department stores where people socialise.
Under tier 4 you could only meet up with 1 other person for exercise, yet saw plenty of groups with several couples together who had obviously met up.
How embarrassing to be behind Starmer virtually every step of the way.

One of the biggest issues in the spreading of the virus is people abusing the so called ‘support and child-care bubbles’. I know several families just on our street that are visiting family saying it is for child care when the parents are not even working. They are stupid and totally irresponsible.
