I don't know if anyone else saw Matt Hancock break the 202 day boycott by the Conservative government on Good Morning today, but it was another masterclass in avoiding answering the question. Piers Morgan tried hard, but it's easy to see why our Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has earned the nickname 'Matt Handjob'. The only government error he admitted to was getting the number of people allowed at funerals wrong. Any questions on the big issues like testing, limiting foreign visitors, care homes, lack of forward planning, lack of PPE, openly lying about Dominic Cummings, why they have not been accountable on the show and the numerous U-turns were simply brushed aside.

If any of us had performed so badly for so long in our job we would quickly be joining the dole queue. He kisses Boris's arse, so his job is safe.

Has anyone had any experience of this 'World Class track and trace system'? Towards the end of last month my son-in-law showed symptoms, so he went for a test which was positive, so he gave them details of all the people he had been in contact with. He isolated at home in a spare bedroom while my daughter looked after their two kids in the rest of the house. After a couple of days she started showing symptoms, so did a postal test which also came back positive. She hadn't left the house so was only in contact with the two kids. SIX DAYS after his result, she got a text from track and trace telling her she needed to isolate as she had been in contact with someone who had tested positive!!! She was sensible and didn't leave the house in those six days, but she could easily have been out and about spreading the virus for nearly a week. It's easy to understand why cases were rising rapidly at that time if this is typical of the system.
