Yes, correct. Bingham and her team did a great job of procurement, and the NHS has done a great job with the delivery, as it should have done with test and trace.Originally posted by i961pie View PostI was going to, then I thought why get into another pro/anti brexit debate. It's done now.
I thought it was Kate Bingham who Boris appointed and was called a Tory crony that was behind organising and ordering millions of the vaccine? According to what I heard on TV. (mind you it was the BBC).
None of that excuses the other calamities and the resignations/prosecutions which should happen as a result.

No thanks. And I think you may have misunderstood my post. I was proving Ayeayeskipper wrong, admittedly a bit childish of me.Originally posted by Borg elite View PostSounds like you and Apple pie would make a good couple drunken sailor. The aptly named Gump could be best man. Whether you like trump or not he was good for the stock market, in the four years he was president my pension has nearly doubled, so its not all badOriginally posted by Elite_Pie View PostI posted this on the day the US election result was declared back in November:
Must admit I didn't see it get this bad though!
Trump will find himself losing friends quicker than Prince Andrew did in the coming weeks.

Deregulation and cutting taxes always works well with the stock market but has serious implications for Joe Public.Originally posted by Davy500 View PostWhether you like trump or not he was good for the stock market, in the four years he was president my pension has nearly doubled, so its not all bad

There is no convincing case that shows that the Trump period was any better for the US markets than his predecessors (Obama, Clinton).Originally posted by Davy500 View PostWhether you like trump or not he was good for the stock market, in the four years he was president my pension has nearly doubled, so its not all bad

(you know that think you wear on your wrist that tells you the time - well it contains a most of a naughty word FFS!)
Nonetheless the US markets have continued to do well which has been good to for my pension. China has done even better and I'm glad to have hung on to my FCSS holdings (+400% in 5yrs).

I think the vaccine manufacturers, Forces and an army of volunteers plus a number of other organisations eg Swiftqueue have also played a large part. It is the bringing together of this disparate that has been the real feat.Originally posted by BanjoPie View PostGetting back on topic, I do think the Boris has pulled out the stops when it come to the vaccination rollout albeit, it is our beloved NHS that has carried it out but he has facilitated it hasn’t he?
As I understand it this comes under the realm of the relatively unsung Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
But no doubt Boris has pushed in the right areas including encouraging the UK to take the much criticised path at the time of going separately from Europe last summer.
I think he has finally getting it that listening to experts trumps (pun intended) a blustering hope for the best approach.
