If you do a Nazi salute - and this was a Nazi salute - without meaning to, and your response is not "oh **** I did a Nazi salute and that was totally not my intention", it really suggests you were either a) doing a Nazi salute or b) doing something so close to a Nazi salute (but ****ing it up and actually doing a Nazi salute) because you knew it would get libs and lefties and nearly the entire nation of Germany horrified you did a Nazi salute to get attention.
And having an arm temporarily in a certain position as part of a completely different arm movement is not doing a Nazi salute. Doing a Nazi salute is, however, doing a Nazi salute.

Blimey that's 10 Nazi salutes in one post😜Originally posted by OchPie View PostIf you do a Nazi salute - and this was a Nazi salute - without meaning to, and your response is not "oh **** I did a Nazi salute and that was totally not my intention", it really suggests you were either a) doing a Nazi salute or b) doing something so close to a Nazi salute (but ****ing it up and actually doing a Nazi salute) because you knew it would get libs and lefties and nearly the entire nation of Germany horrified you did a Nazi salute to get attention.

For the record you've never seemed anything but moderate right to me, and the above identify you as a moderate as far as I'm concerned.Originally posted by Lullapie View PostThat's how far left people's views have moved. I am centre-right with my political views, but others are that far left, I look like a fascist to them.
I'm into immigration, social welfare and a robust national health service. They are non-negotiable.
Just to make that clear
.
My problem with Trump isn't that he's far right, he's just authoritarian. He isn't conservative or christian or anything like his republican predecessors. He doesn't believe in anything except what advances Trump's interests. If I had to pin down his political position, he's a mad radical authoritarian narcissist.
Still, people whose views I care about disagree and have voted for him. So hopefully I'm wrong and they're right, eh.

There is nothing in the constitution about nuclear power. The constitution was written before it was conceived of and no amendment touches on it.Originally posted by Lullapie View PostThe nuclear discussion is huge in Australia at the moment. With the high possibility of the Australian Labor Party getting trounced in the election, Peter Dutton, leader of the opposition, is openly discussing nuclear power.
There is something in the Australian Constitution that prevents nuclear power being brought in, so a referendum is likely.
The irony is that that Australia is the biggest Uranium exporter in the world. It also exports a huge amount of coal - mainly to Third World nations, so we all know how environmentally sensitively that will be used.
Nuclear power is the ONLY way forward to reduce emissions - but the left have the same old excuses. Too dangerous, too expensive.
However, we are slowly learning that letting ideologists control policy creates the opposite effect to what is needed to be done.
Chris Kenny from Sky News Australia did this documentary a while back. A very interesting watch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN77CqRfABg
There is a federal law that could easily be overturned to bring it in. No referendum is required.
Nuclear power isn't the only way forward. We've come a long way without it, the rest requires grid-scale storage, which, annoyingly, the left also refuse to talk about sensibly. Because it means huge new hydro dams...
Sky News Australia is a murdoch outlet BTW. Propaganda.

Did you get all that from ChatGPT, but had the translation done by Stanley Unwin 🤣🤣🤣🤣.Originally posted by OchPie View PostIf you do a Nazi salute - and this was a Nazi salute - without meaning to, and your response is not "oh **** I did a Nazi salute and that was totally not my intention", it really suggests you were either a) doing a Nazi salute or b) doing something so close to a Nazi salute (but ****ing it up and actually doing a Nazi salute) because you knew it would get libs and lefties and nearly the entire nation of Germany horrified you did a Nazi salute to get attention.

Have you seen the state of him when he tries to dance? Awkward isn't even the word, he makes Trump's moves look like Lionel Blair........................Originally posted by drillerpie View PostYeah the pardon system is mental.
Cashing in on the inauguration by pumping and dumping an official presidential ****coin is hilarious and completely on brand.
"We're going to expand our territory" was worrying.
Muskollini's 'awkward gesture' was, also worrying, or just an incredibly powerful billionaire autist having fun and saying **** you I'm untouchable now, which is also worrying.
All in all a great few days of entertainment and the birth of some tremendous memes.

No I think common sense individuals see it for what it is.Originally posted by Med Pie View PostThat's how most, common sense individuals are interpreting it.
We can speculate about the reasons why he did it and what it says about him, but he did it. The from the heart gesture was what he did when he spoke about the heart - putting his palm on his heart. What came before that was a double Nazi / Roman (used by Italian fascists) salute and there's no doubt in my mind about that. Just look at the expression on his face.

back to Trump who writes....
"Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. If we don't make a 'deal', and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries."
I was under the illusion that there was an embargo on all Russian goods so there should be nothing to tax?
