I don't know if you went to university or not, but if you did graduate was your degree a masters in patronising arrogance?Originally posted by Lullapie View PostHere you go
.. I'll help:
Do you think that Jordan and Egypt will take the Palestinians? For peace in the Middle East, they'd have to. Why shouldn't fellow Muslim countries do their bit, unless as I posted before, they don't want the conflict to finish?
Do you think the Americans will spend billions to rebuild Gaza for the Palestinians to move back? You're assuming again. Be very careful about 'assuming' things. Billions will need to be spent - agreed, but I'll guarantee you, it won't be all American money.
Is what he says he is going to do against International law? Who's 'international law' and to be honest, who cares?
At the end of the day, there's a slight chance it might happen - only slight. The point is, and this is what the anti-Trump nutters are harping on about, is that for years we have gone the way of the establishment. More dialogue, more money, more deaths, more conflict, more money.
There surely comes a time, when those that go outside and actually see what's happening in the world, look and say it's just not working. Lets try something new.
Ukraine is a very similar situation. Simple people like simple things. "I'm good and he's bad". That's about all they can understand. The trouble with that, it that it limits their ability to come up with a solution. They become narrow-minded in their views and it restricts their lateral thinking.
There is a dearth in lateral thinking in the world. I believe intentionally, to prevent those with solutions from changing the status quo.
The idealogists think of democracy and a beautiful world and flowers and fish leaping out of the sea and everyone holding hands.
As a realist, I point to Chechnya, well Grozny in particular. Putin solved the issue there by flattening the city, killing the Islamic extremists and then rebuilding the city. It's working well, but the country is now run by a dictator, Ramzan Kadyrov.
Hope that helps

Easy answer, dont visit the thread, just because you are offended doesnt mean youre right (in the words of Ricky Gervais). Freedom of speech is being stamped upon already, make use of what you have at the moment until they close down this.Originally posted by the_anticlough View PostWhy is this guy using NCM as a platform to bombard Notts fans with deranged crap like this?

Yes, if you completely destroy a place, then rebuild it in whatever image you like, and appoint a puppet dictator, it will "solve" the problem of the people who used to live there. One might almost call it... a final solution...
And... are you a satire account? I honestly can't picture anybody writing the above with a straight face. Especially about Ukraine. Wonder what you'd have said about nazi germany if you'd been alive at the time.

Just to warn you Smiffy, there was a brandishing of yellow cards and above for calling people names just a couple of weeks ago. There are some here who demand yellow cards and bans when someone calls them out, straight from the leftists playbook, it's called 'cancellation'.Originally posted by SmiffyPie View PostAre you for real? Called out for a ridiculous comment? Idiot.
My original post was in reply to yours and was a sarcastic comment that reflected (in my mind anyway) the desperation that the Ukrainians must feel to make such desperate requests.Last edited by Med Pie; 08-02-2025, 06:25 AM.
