The 2 stands for his 2 wins in 24 games in his last head coach position at Rotherham.
The 5 stands for how many Months he lasted at Rotherham before getting relegated and sacked.
If he?s a yes man and a nice guy he will be employed

Rotherham who decided to game the system by yo-yoing? Go up to championship, don't spend, get relegated but keep the money, get promoted, rinse and repeat? The combination of prime Pep and Mourinho wouldn't have saved Rotherham

Who were you expecting, Arne Slot? Any manager we want with experience at a higher level will have failed somewhere - it’s the nature of the beast.

What a manager that saved them from relegation and then got them promoted to the champ? Let?s be serious how many managers can we get that have a recent promotion to the champ?

Rotherham?s probably a red herring, similar to a team going up to the prem that don?t compete at all financially with the league.

Thought people wanted proven?! He has three promotions on his CV including a relatively recent League One title with Wigan.

Any ?proven? manager coming to League Two will also have failures on their CV, as he does in a poor short spell in the Championship with Rotherham, but otherwise it?s a pretty impressive CV. Could certainly see the logic behind it, even if stylistically it feels a jump from what we?ve had before.

I hope the bros don’t fixate on “stylish” football, because the focus needs to be on winning football that also entertains the fans. The quality of football did go backwards under SM, especially at home where so many games felt like testimonials rather than full-blooded league fixtures.

Think SM got bogged down with not conceding. We all know it is quite easy to play attacking possession football if your players are on their toes and looking forward instead of on the back foot looking square or back just to retain the ball.
Obviously need to pick your moment to turn it into attack but how many times have any of us shouted "pass the bloody ball forward!

                      • I really hope time is taken to get this right. If we're considering Richardson, then it suggests the search is going about as well as last time.

We're not only looking for a Head Coach, we're looking for a leader of the club too - which LW provided.

Chris, Alex, Joe Palmer, Gagliardi, Alves, Matty Palmer - none of them can lead the charge to L1. We were clutching at straws when we thought Didzy could in the run-in. We need someone with charisma and vision.

I agree, we need a proper leader and one as captain and few more in the team. How do you know the guys on the board aren?t leaders? The Bros are quiet but not all leaders need to be vocal, putting a good strategy in and supporting the people to deliver it is great leadership alone.
I can?t see it being Richardson the more I read, seems quite long ball and I?m certainly not up for Nolan part 2, something inbetween that and over passing would be nice.

                          • This would be a fantastic appointment if we were to pull it off!

Leaders in their areas, no doubt. But on the pitch for a full campaign, there's a gaping vacancy.
