Who? Is this the one we will have never heard of?
Former Degerfors HC over in Sweden. This one was mentioned on 'X' a few days ago. Sounds a very Reedtz option.

ETA: He's now the favourite at 5/4

          • Tobias Solberg seems like a very Reedtz appointment.

And would explain the delay in announcing a new HC. I said the other day the delay could be whilst a Visa is issued to the new man.

A head coach who got demoted to manage an U19s team.
His whole career has been spent at a club that usually plays in the Swedish 2nd tier, sometimes 3rd tier (struggling in the 1st tier on the rare occasions they've got that high),. He was demoted around the time they got relegated out of the top tier 2023. The averaged 3,257 last season.

Presumably somebody on a wind up.

To be balanced, he was the HC that won them promotion to the top division and kept them there for a season.

                    • We need to get this appointment right. Ive never heard of this guy, and from the outside it would look to be a very underwhelming appointment, if thats the case. Division 2 is not the place for these type of guys.. As SM found out...

It appears he was part of a duo with Andreas Holmberg, not the head coach as such, and Holmberg left to manage another 2nd tier Swedish side, which implies Holmberg was the stronger character of the two.

Des Buckingham was managing in India before with no EFL experience and got Oxford promoted.
I don?t care where they?ve coached as long as they have the ability, leadership and at least a good understanding of L2 and what it takes to succeed, it?s not even like they're signing the players either.

That's not the whole story though is it. Des Buckingham is Oxford born and bred and had worked his way up at Oxford United before gaining more experience abroad, including NZ U23s manager before returning home.

                              • It seems like people are getting their excuses in early for some of these prospective managers in case the brothers appoint them, to avoid any implied criticism of our owners. But the brothers are not making up these odds, that's down to the bookies, or rather, the bookie, loads of managers have been 1/2 now, and it usually comes to nothing.
