I'm always confused when clubs like ours are accused of having no history. Such an ignorant phrase. What they mean in their underdeveloped brains, is that you've not won as much as my team.

Probably our clubs history, not mentioned due to not ever been in Old Division One, Premier League, never won the FA Cup.
But our club were in the first ever League Cup Final, ( over 2 legs ), losing to Aston Villa.
      So we do have history.

They have never won the Prem they have never won a European Trophy we have won more trophies in the last 25yrs than them. ItÂ’s all in their heads to make out they are massive.Sad really but let them get on with it. The ground was paid for by the FA for the World Cup & they have run it down ever since.

I disagree with you ELK. We dont have history because we were in the League Cup final, we have history because a lot of dedicated people worked very hard yo estsblish and maintain a football club in Rotherham for more than a century and a half. Thats history, not trinkets.

            This.

History isn't success, it's what sits behind the clubs we know today. Everything, good and bad. The Wendies are no more special because of aspects of their past, their size, or anything else. Bury and Aldershot, for example, should have been worthy of just as much press.

Just been reading some more poinr deductions on the horizon for the Owls, on top of the 12 they already have.

Any further points deducted should be for next season as they are already virtually relegated this season.

and Andy Giddings on dee dar radio tonight said, 'Is that really fair?' Of course it is, you break the rules you take the flak!

I thought there was a rule that stated if the team would have been relegated without the deduction then it carried forward to the next season. Otherwise there is no penalty.

Or maybe I just imagined that!

Millmoor Ron, I can't say I've ever read that anywhere but, it makes sense in what you say. You can't really say a team is down until it's mathematically impossible for them to get out of it.

I also agree in what you say, where's the penalty if they were going down anyway.......another cop out for the massive?

That would probably apply at the end /closed season ...

I find it strange. Why clubs like wednesday only don't pay the platters when the season starts.
Why don't we hear of non payments through the summer month's

Maybe ST sales and shirts covers it?

I'm sure there used to be a cut off time of some point in March where any deductions would be applied that season, after this date they would go on the following season.
Don't know if that still applies.
