My recollection of that match was first half we totally dominated with Nombe in particular wasting a lot of good possession. I was wondering however Swindon were near the top of their division because they were awful !Originally posted by Derbymiller View PostPeople forget the Swindon game but my good we were awful and could have lost by a lot more, only bright light in that game was two youngsters Douglas and Duncan the latter being dumped when he was excellent when he came on.
Second half we never came out with Martha leading the lethargy and never closed their midfielders down ! Then we came unstuck with injuries with Douglas, Nombe and Sherriff leaving the field.Plenty of youngsters had a run out including the impressive Gardener who has not been seen since !

Millers Tale, I'm glad you've raised the point of Gardener. I've seen him play a several times now, the latter being at Salford in the Vertu trophy game.Originally posted by MILLERSTALE View PostMy recollection of that match was first half we totally dominated with Nombe in particular wasting a lot of good possession. A very athletic muscular young lad who has a burst of speed hard to match. His finishing ain't bad either so, why in our current crisis of lack of strikers does he not even make the bench in a League fixture? Meanwhile, we allow the likes of Etete, Kelly, etc to fill the bench seats, I'll even throw Martha into that bunch.
Young blood has no fear, they look to give their all, unlikely to break down with a 'Hammy' so I say give the lad a run if we're lacking up front even if it's only for 20 minutes. These young players should be gradually brought into our game. They won't develop until they're up against a competitive League 1 game and not just some behind closed doors knockabouts.

I agree, from what we have seen of Gardener,he looks a decent player and not to have him, at least on bench is very questionable.Look at Hamish Douglas, this lad came in to the side only because of the crock defenders we have, otherwise we may not have seen how good he is.The club over a number of years have been reluctant to give youth a chance.A fellow season ticket holder who sits in front of me told me MH was told to play the ones who are on most money,so we get some return. If that is right, this club is a complete joke.Originally posted by Brin View PostMillers Tale, I'm glad you've raised the point of Gardener. Or waiting to see if Patrick Bamford extended his short term contract. He signed a new deal today so they might be willing to let him out now.Originally posted by Scum-Triumphant View PostRyan One isn?t in the squad for their cup game against Mansfield today.
My mate told me the deal was agreed so my guess is the hold up is signing off on his wages.

Instead of knocking every single prospect, why not try naming ones that you would be satisfied with? I doubt you'll answer because you have failed to do so every time in the past 10 years whenever asked this question.Originally posted by RU66 View PostRyan One what's he done? Whatmore why sign an out of contract player during a transfer window? Not my idea of recruitment to keep us up.

I'm not recruitment. Scott Hamshaw are but those 2 players I question what they'll bring to the side.
