At BSC my apprenticeship passed a year later & they didn't give them away!

Back to Ryan One whoever are in front of him up front at Sheff U aren't exactly banging the goals in so why hasn't he started more for them? If your good enough your old enough. Keep saying it's a big forward we need to start with.

As usual the budget dictates presumably that?s why the likes of Danny Ings wishes to carry on on the bench at the Blades than the farce at NYS, hence why we end up with the babbys

For the record and I'm only choosing three front players as you quoted, 'whoever are in front of him up front at Sheff U aren't exactly banging the goals in ' to date:

          League goals only
          Tyrese Campbell 5 goals -
Patrick Bamford 5 goals - been with the Blades only recently on loan.
          Tom Cannon 4 goals -

Goals for this season are 34 in total so these three have scored approx 41% of the goals scored and you say they aren't doing much?

With those stats, there's little wonder the lad can't get in front of them.

Out of interest, who was the last signing we made that you were happy with from day one? I'm struggling to remember any.

Don't follow Sheff U so I'm only looking at their league position but Brin don't you think we need a big forward fit ready to start?

Actual signings none have totally convinced me this season especially Martha & Kaleta. Loanies Sibley rated on the left & Baptist in defence.

                  That's not what I asked.

Also Jamal Baptiste is three years older than Ryan One and isn't able to get in a Sheffield United defence that hasn't been good this season and despite playing well for us, doesn't look like being recalled. So by your logic, if he can't get in their team, why do we want him?

It goes without saying we have been desperate for any fit striker up front this season and, it didn't have to have been a big striker.

Many a small forward have banged the goals in over the years. Was Alfie tall? It's knowing where to be at the right time and putting the ball away. You talk of having to be a big forward, wasn't Sherif and look what he brought. Etete is no better and both are big units.

I don't care that One' from the Blades is only 19, if he knows where the net is then get him over here and quickly. We have one of our own in Gardener, fast, physical, shown he can score but he doesn't even make the bench?

Missing the point Brin, the way the game is div played, and particularly us…….need a big beefy. We would have to change tack and can’t see that happening.

Who do you follow well enough to know if they have any prospects that would satisfy your magic eye? If you just go on league position then I guess the likes of Arsenal and Man City are the only real sources of talent? I hear the latter have a big lad playing up front who's tall, young and got potential.

OTM, I wouldn't call Nombe big or beefy but he's our diamond out of our pack. Size is irrelevant to us. Yes we launch long balls but if you only want a big unit up there to collect the ball, play it on, hold it up etc, you still need that goal scorer so for me size ain't the answer in our hour of need at the mo.

                          • I get you ru66 my bestie. For the league we're in a big unit who can hold the ball and win a few headers would help. Though I guess not if his strike partner is hugill or etete.

I'm go smacked like a few others why Gardener hasn't been given a run from the bench. Brin describes his as fast and physical. Whilst it's his movement that caught my eye. He was always in space

                            • Another thing whatever formation we play there's only James who can go on the outside to get a cross in. League 1 it's for direct football lump ball up then need some height up front to make something of it or it comes straight back at you.

                              • Yes you would think the salford game would have helped some young players, but I am sure we will be told we don’t see these players in training and MH knows best, but we do see some other players on match day and to be honest if the young players are worse than some of those god help us.
