      • No worries can?t be easy keeping track of it all and much appreciated. I?m enjoying it and can?t believe I never participated before.

        Been reading the board for years although never a prolific poster. For some reason my phone keeps me signed in now, so makes it easier for me to post.

        • I'm going to put a positive spin on my poor effort and say I was only 4 points off the winning score...

          Looks like you've repeated about half the score records in your final edit after this weeks tally, Brin. You might want to tidy up a bit.

          I'm with Mr_bukaroo in his comment that it can't be easy keeping track of it all and you've done a brilliant job of putting out so many game days over Christmas and New Year. We all really appreciate your work on this!

            Thank you Sir. I must admit I was feeling rather weary when I was completing it.

            Once again, thanks for the heads up and all sorted now.

              Mr B, glad to read that you enjoy competing. I don't mind doing it all it as it keeps my mind active but sometimes, as you've spotted, the mind isn't always as active as it should be

              • Well the weather didn't beat us and we got a full card out. Another plus factor in that we didn't play yesterday so that's two without defeat in our last two fixtures. Matty might be on for MOTM at this rate

                The FA Cup, love it or loathe it, a lot of you benefitted from that late Newcastle equaliser in normal time. Let's see what happened overall.

                No Shows: Full card, well done everyone.

                Weekly winner(s): x 11 of you hit double figures yesterday making it a good scrap to the end. x four on 10 points, x five on 11 points, x one on 12 points but the best, was from Ronners delivering a whopping 14 points. Excellent score pal and 5 bonus points are yours.

                Predict a score: We knew City would walk it but ouch! 10 v 1 is how it finished so absolutely no winners. Our loss there at 7 v 0 again in the FA Cup, was a mere blip and we can forget about it now . A triple rollover it is then next weekend, that's some big points if won on your own.

                Joker(s) played: None played.

                Wooden Spoon(s): Last week was calamitous so it's a bit more pleasing on the eye this time.

                So there I was after the first eight games had been played looking straight at a spoon on 2 lousy points . I thought there's no way I'm getting out of this but I did!

                HK Miller dropped points on the Spurs v Villa game but, he did manage to avoid a spoon as Cayton dipped out on both the last two evening games taking no points from them and finishing on 4 points overall. The spoon is yours pal so take it away

                A friendly shout out to Leeds Miller who breaks the 200 points barrier.

                Even though there were some high scores, Glenn Miller still sits aloft and is starting to break away from the chasing pack. Pipppy moves up to second spot with Cayton now dropping to third.

                The Table:

                GlennMiller =203+10=213+3=216+11=227

                • Another set of Saturday results over with so let's take a look how it all panned out.

                  Due to the mild weather, a full 10/10 was played so that's a result considering it's still January.

                  No Shows: Full card, great to see.

                  Weekly winner(s): Big scores last week alas not this time around. A lowly normal 8 points was good enough to scoop the bonus points and I bagged them, about time me thinks

                  Predict a score: A triple roll over and up to 72 minutes, Grist and me were well on our way to a nice extra 9 points. Alas Roberts decided to spoil the party and equalised for The Brummies. Final score Swansea 1 v1 Birmingham which meant there were eventually four of you claiming the bonus points and you are; Avondale Miller, ELK and Millersrus and boy were they glad of these while Leeds Miller also joined them. Well done one and all.

                  Joker(s) played: None played.

                  Wooden Spoon(s): Low scores indeed and from the off ELK was clearly in the reckoning for a spoon with a big fat zero! He did though play his 'get out of jail' card and bail himself out with the Predict a Score bonus points, lucky bugger indeed. He was clearly followed by Avondale on 1 solitary point and Millersrus on 2 points but they too survived using their bonus 9 points to also see them to safety.....phew indeed!

                  Cayton I don't know what your game plan is for the second half of the season but, you've bagged a back to back spoon as you only scored 2 points. Unlucky pal but it's all yours again.

                  Shout outs again as HK Miller, Millersrus, Nardendee and Ronners break the 200 points mark. Well done.

                  Glenn Miller is still top dog this weekend while I move up to second place and third place is now taken up by Leeds Miller. It's all nip and tuck now though making it very interesting indeed.

                  The Table:

                  GlennMiller =216+11=227+5=232
                  Brin =197+3=200+6=206+13=219
                  LeedsMiller =191+11=202+14=216

                  Millersrus =187+0=187+11=198+11=209

                  • When looking at football results, I added up with my selections 0 points, but I saw the Swansea v Birmingham score, so I thought I would miss the spoon, only spoon I want is Wetherspoon.

                      • Roll up roll up another set to get through......

                        A full card played.

                        No Shows: Only one missing which was Ronners?

                        Weekly winner(s): Some good scores yesterday with x 5 of us hitting normal double digits. MillersTale set it all of with 10 points, then myself on 12 points which I thought may have been enough but, both CT Milller and LeedsMiller pushed me aside with a very good 13 points.

                        That wasn't the end of it though as Ackworth Miller came bursting through to lay down a brilliant 14 points to snap up the 5 bonus points, very well done indeed.

                        Predict a score: The big numbers never arrived from City and it disappointed a lot of us.

                        The final score was Man City 2 v 0 Wolves. Two of you got that spot on so it's a welcome 3 points that go to YAK and Mr Buckaroo, well done chaps.

                        Joker(s) played: We all seem to be holding back on playing our final Joker, wish I'f played mine yesterday, if only .
                        Zero played.

                        Wooden Spoon(s): Cayton breathe out pal you've broken your losing streak . But for him winning some bonus points, Mr Buckaroo was having a spoon so this time with a score of 3 points, it has to go to Nardendee. Unlucky, but take it away it's all yours this time pal.

                        Shout outs again as this time it's the turn of Mr Buckaroo and MillersTale who break the 200 points mark. Well done.

                        Is Glenn Miller starting to crack with all the pressure of still being number 1 as the pack close in on him? The tension is mounting as we all jostle to grab a European qualifying position. Jokers to be played by all of us but when?????

                              Ronners, no need to apologise pal, it's only a fun competition nothing serious. Having said that, I bet Cayton's thinking 'I've got to stop this slide or CAM will soon be catching me up' .

                              Look forward to seeing you post for this weekends PL.
