1. Accept that a club the size of Rotherham has limitations.
2. Accept that every club has difficult times.
3. Accept that Hamshaw inherited a mess and that it is unreasonable to expect anyone to have fixed that in a single transfer window.
4. Accept that a revolving door approach to managerial appointments doesn't work.

He isn?t beyond the sack
Accept that paying customers who go to the games see what?s happening on the pitch.

Neither paying customers nor those who simply look at the scores could claim that everything is going swimmingly.
If you support a club the size of Rotherham with Rotherham levels of resources, you have to expect good times and bad times. If you can't accept that, you are doomed to perpetual frustration and disappointment.
A rinse and repeat approach to the running of the club hasn't worked with the last few managerial appointments and there's no reason to believe that it would work now.

Agree with you however and it?s a bigger however if a manager is clearly out of his depth then change must happen.Originally posted by KerrAvon View PostNeither paying customers nor those who simply look at the scores could claim that everything is going swimmingly.

The club is a mess and a lot of people are responsible. Doesn?t mean the manager is right for the role though.
I think he will get the next 2 games if results aren?t good then a change should be made.

Regarding your first point Yak, applying simple maths/economics, the players he inherited should be far better than the ones he signed because they consume the lion's share of the budget. The ones he signed were, in most cases, cheaper, younger alternatives with a high element of risk.Originally posted by Yak View PostHis signings are worse than the ones he inherited

I like the idea floated on another thread of bringing in someone to help MH through this tough patch and the transfer window. What's that Neil bloke up to these days? Surely he fancies featuring in a sequel to The Great Escapes book

However. Too many of his signings havenÂ’t worked or been injured
Then thereÂ’s the defensive set up. His insistence on playing a system what isnÂ’t working is on him.
Would you trust him with January signings?
The captain of our club would probably answer that better than me.
As far help again he hand picked his team it was clear it was a risk.

I mentioned someone coming in to mentor Paul Warne when he first took over.Originally posted by CAMiller View PostRegarding your first point Yak, applying simple maths/economics, the players he inherited should be far better than the ones he signed because they consume the lion's share of the budget. I mentioned John Ward a seasoned manager has a man who could have helped in the early days.

Accept that the budget MH has is vastly greater than the majority in this league and that he has wasted the vast majority of it on players who are not fit for purpose.Originally posted by KerrAvon View Post1. Accept that a club the size of Rotherham has limitations.

For those calling for MH to have further support, explain why? We are not a training facility for MH. We are a supposed to be a professional outfit.

Paul Douglas will still be at the club as long as TS is in charge and talk of a Director of Football coming in to help MH is a non starter.Look what happened with the Rob Scott fiasco.Hammy will have to generate his own funds to bring players in and that will .probably involve the sale of Nombe. All under the watchful eye of our finance director who will not allow MH to overspend on this already depleted squad we have.January will tell us a lot about the desire of this club to either climb the table or just surrender. All this in our Centenary season. Some celebration !!!!!!!Originally posted by Eternal Optimist View PostAs TS has shown so little commitment/interest in our predicament of late, I suspect none of this will happen.
Just a hunch, but I believe MH will retain his position even if we drop to L2 - as did Warne when he was still wet behind the gills.
I also suspect the only time the cheque book will be produced is if we were to sell Nombe. Unlikely if he's injured, of course.
I think Tony's had enough and we're gonna have to grin and bear it.

Who would you suggest as his replacement?Nobody wants to come to a club with the Victorian training ground facilities we have and lack of investment, well known throughout the manager network.Originally posted by Grist_To_The_Mill View PostBut why put a splint on a dead ducks leg?

We have to do the homework, send out the trawlers but keep away from ex players and nice cheap lads from Rawmarsh
