Without signing another striker, possibly two, we are almost certainly resigning ourselves to a relegation fight. That seems to be ok for some. It wasn?t so long ago that we were laughing at Donny. Now, they can?t wait to play us.

Quite agree. Let?s see if Mr. Stewart is prepared to back the Manager.

I would suspect not at this stage. The best we will be looking at is a prem youngster but that?s nowhere near what we need.

Very much doubt it pal. The idea doing the rounds was to sell Nombe, Tony gets a slice back and the rest, hopefully, would have been given to Matt to bring someone in, not happening now with Sam's injury.

Hopefully is the word Brin. Unfortunately if he doesn?t back the Manager it?s only going to end one way.
To be fair I am not convinced we will do anything at all without more investment.

Little old Rotherham might be ok for some but without ambition we will end up right back where we were when he first took over.
We have a small time mentality. It?s holding the club back

No MH said he was after one before the Nombe injury and ideally he would like two, I am just repeating what the manager has said over the last few weeks. Remember 3 of the so called strikers are out injured, two of those have awful injury records so are likely not to play more than 50% of games this season. I think Hugill record speaks for itself, hasn?t scored since last October, and most of last seasons goals were against lower league or reserve teams in the Efl trophy. That leaves McGuckin who went off injured and MH says shouldn?t be relied upon.
I understand the ?we can?t control? comment, but for a fan to not worry two league games in and us having very little goal scoring players, is resigning yourself to a relegation fight, if it is not addressed. I didn?t buy my three season tickets expecting us to struggle at the bottom end and I doubt many others did either. So is it worrying or is it caring?
I don?t have silly expectations, I expect us to try and improve on last seasons 13th, to play some attractive football and for the team to look like they are trying (last 30 minutes at Salford showed some of that). Football is all about goals, scoring enough of them and stopping the others. So yes I am worried because I care, and think the centenary year being crowned with a relegation fight is failure at all levels, perhaps that is where I differ from others. MH needs the backing of the board between now and 1st September, I hope he gets it.

When you play with fire, you get burnt. Thanks Stewart…..not made of money??..good at wasting it.
We need a chairman and board with a bit of money, not mega rich, just rich in common football sense. This is what happens with autocrats.
What a disaster of three seasons. Knew it was coming one way or another…..still, the hotel has past muster and on to next phase.
TS really has a new pastime. NYS no longer his hobby, to quote his words - hobby.

It won't get a roof on it though if he don't sell Sam.

Certain Stewart is trying to sell the club but is he being greedy ? Eight (yes EIGHT) different investors fought out the recent sale of Leyton Orient. There is massive worldwide (particularly American) interest in buying English football clubs . There has to be potential in buying Rotherham United.

If that?s the way it is he should cash his chips in. Football is not a hobby it?s a way of life and a big part of it too and I know it is for many people on here.

It?s a love affair for me but I feel it?s a bit one sided and it?s time I got a life. That?s football for you.

London clubs will always have a far bigger interest than teams in the north. Not saying there wouldn't be interest, but we're not comparable to any club in and around London.
