This has been a complete baptism of fire for him this season as well you know. This isn't a b.ollockng by the way pal

I clearly recall a fitness coach once being asked to take over a car crash of a side and to try his best to keep us in the Championship. Alas due to his 'new' role and naivety as a Manager, his team set ups and use of his then squad, he failed and we left the Championship.

After a close season break and the good riddance of many under performing wage stealing crap players, the same ex coach/new Manager tried a different approach with his newly acquired team and as they say, the rest became history. Doesn't Matt Hamshaw deserve a crack at it like Paul Warne was given or, shall we all just cry off and sack yet another Manager?

Big question out there for those who have worked in Management/Team Leader roles. In your job when you first set out, were you instantly perfect?

Did you make mistakes along the way and have to re adjust your style and deliverance in order to amend your failure to deliver what was expected or again, were you that perfect?

I am fully behind Matt Hamshaw. He has ideas, plans and truly wants to succeed to bring back stability and maybe the glory times again to us Millers. This requires time, patience and a strong cash injection for this to happen.

His arrival at the club last season saw us stay up. A slight euphoria settled in and he was accepted as 'one of our own'. This season has seen probably our worst ever injury list from a group of players, some of them his buys and mostly those that he inherited. Are we all so blind to the fact of this damning situation but we don't acknowledge this has been our main cause for failure so far this season or, is the be all and end all WE ARE MASSIVE AND WE SHOULD BE PUSHING FOR PROMOTION? Sack him, sack him, sack him.

If he is sacked, those on that side of the bed will say told you so. The others like myself will also feel he wasn't given a good run/chance at it. Football does that to folk, we all have opinons. Whichever way it rolls, it won't stop me following my team my Rotherham United.

I’ve led teams all my life this is a core belief that leaders should have and exemplify always.
This is key leadership qualities from my experience training.

This doesn’t sound like our current manager imo.
You asked the question so to answer it no he’s not learning from the obvious issue with the formation and set up.
    Does he portray the below?

Unrelenting Pursuit of Excellence: A constant drive for peak performance, encouraging adaptation, innovation, and continuous learning.

Humility & Self-Discipline: Valuing character over ego, accepting responsibility, and learning from failures, which builds trust and fosters growth.

Teamwork & Ownership: Fostering deep trust and ensuring members feel ownership of both success and failure, crucial for self-managing, innovative teams.
    Desire & Mental Fortitude:

Adaptability & Creativity: The ability to think unconventionally and and adapt to every situation which develop innovative solutions in chaotic environments.

    Just my opinion.

Just watched the interview. I would also add angry to your list. He looked as though he wanted to name names who are letting him/rufc down..
I also though he said (without saying it). What else can I do... "I don't have the players, squad that is needed to compete.

If the figure spouted by radio Sheffield are correct, we are 15th in the budget for league 1 spending then you need all the squads available to be able to compete...
I get the feeling hamshaw just shrugs and says. "What can I do"

Like I've mentioned. Before. It's all about timing and it's not great ATM for hamshaw. And I believe Taylor and Richardson had SIM problems. Where as Richardson at reading the time is perfectly right ATM.

Now PD might not be telling the whole story I can only go on what is reported. The man lacks gravitas and lacks a presence, manager isn't for him in my humble opinion.

Get your facts right Warney became the manager in November 2016 after KennyJackett quit. Hamshaw another good human being manager but he's got the job so it's sink or swim with him the remainder of this season.

Thanks for the correction, the point is still valid though, Warne was given time to go into a full season because he took the job when we were already in a severe situation and hadn?t had the preseason. MH is being judged on a season where he had a full preseason and time to bring in his own players.

Huddersfield Town loanee player Leo Castledine from Chelsea, was not in the Terriers squad for the
game, after the player was recalled from his season long loan with Huddersfield Town.
Middlesbrough bought the 20 year old free scoring midfielder, who signed a 4.5 year contract with
              Middlesbrough, for their promotion push.

I can see the mellow/frog point of view as rinse and repeat hasn't been working. Well not for the last 4 managers. I've always said any manager should be given to the end of a season and I stick by than. I also see the other point as nothing is working ATM and motivation/tactics are down to the manager..
And this manager is also rinse and repeating...
What a load of tosh (as usual). MH didnt keep us up. We were far from going down. This season however we are.

MH has been dealt a tough hand with injuries, i will accept that BUT his signings have been terrible and he clearly has lost the players and fans now. If we give him to the end of the season we are down. That just not good enough.

Brin - i hope you have sobered up since you wrote this. There was a time and place for supporting MH and you stuck by him. After 7 dreadful defeats and a team that look like they are doomed its time to open your eyes and have a reality check. He shouldnt be allowed to manage the club for a second longer never mind have a go in division 2.

And as for comparing this to the Warne situation - its chalk and cheese. That was the Championside on a pitiful budget with dejected and toxic players. This is division one with a more than competitive budget.

Now re-read my reply to derby. Are you saying derby was speaking tosh as it was him who suggested sacking Evans and the appointment of hamshaw kept us up? Haha as always reading is not your strong point. No need to apologise mate for the error. It's a common (almost daily) mistake 😄🤭🫣🤭

Deflect attempt again! You?re brainwashed into blaming everything and everybody but MH. Today?s post just emphasise the point. I can only conclude you?re connect to Paul Douglas or one of the other muppets that run this club. Or maybe you are him.
