As I sometimes do, I did a post check on past Wordles and I would have probably had a 4 using that method. Interestingly I saw a note on there that as of February 2nd (fittingly as it's Groundhog Day) the NYT started reusing words. They also stated that when they notice this, the past Wordle list keepers remove it from their list and then add it back at the end of the day. That would explain why recently when we were discussing this, EM saw a different version of the list to me. He must have had a cached version or a non refreshed page on his device. Beware!

Was going to mention this yesterday but wasn't sure how people feel about the past wordle list. Yesterday after 4 rows I could not see a word that would fit except for the actual answer yesterday which was in my used list. I refreshed the list and, surprise, it had disappeared! So yes, old words are being reused but need to refresh the past word list every day.

Particularly enjoyed today?s which almost felt like a HIO going from zero to 4g on the second go with just an incorrect vowel stopping it. Felt like a miss-hit from a the tee shot followed by lipping the hole when I took it again.
