DON'T forget it's a strong rumour that SE spent some of this years budget as well, so there might be a good scattering of them. Also don't forget he signed them nearly all very early in the summer, so will have paid top bucks for them.....................
Extra for early, i’ll agree with. A lot like wilkes and harris have been offloaded.

My point is though, whilst highly certain, it does no good him rubbing it in. Especially for those not on here or the like. Morale is bad enough.

    I’ve always said next summer.

Twenty days into January, and with two essential games in the next 8 days, we have managed to sign a kid with next to no league experience. We can chirp on all day about what SE did but he?s been gone for the best part of a year now.

We are being mismanaged by this autocratic regime. It?s time they stepped down.

            Sack the Board.

Typical comment from you. You don't like them potentially on the way up, e.g. Martha, Kaleta, Holmes and you don't like them potentially on the way down as you've stated here and about most transfer prospects we have. You only like them if they are 'just right'. I think I'll call you Goldilocks from now on

If they're good enough take your chance but the likes of Martha Kaleta Hamshaw signings aren't.

I'm in agreement, Martha is a dud as for Kaleta, there's a player in there. He just has to apply himself more.

ItÂ’s hard to judge. Martha is technically gifted but I donÂ’t think he knows is role or position in this team. HeÂ’s obviously got talent but I suspect at this time, he regretting his move to RUFC.

Personally, I donÂ’t think we have the coaching set up to develop players so despite the board having the notion of buying young talent to develop them and cash in, that wonÂ’t happen with the current set up,

Technically gifted in what sense? He's good at twisting and turning? He certainly doesn't get into the heavy side of football due to his slight build. Can't win headers, doesn't go for the tackle, thinks he has the ability to take 2/3 players on getting robbed off the ball all the time, doesn't track back and help out. In other words he ain't got a lot going for him.

If he feels like he's made a mistake, let him put in a transfer rquest and let's offload him and at least get back what we paid for him.

He's not injured but didn't even make the bench last Saturday, what's that tell you? Unless there's a personal issue going on in his life.

I must admit, I'm in the "will come good" camp with Martha. I can't remember a player on Rotherham turf take the piss out of the opponent as much since I saw Prosinecki at Millmoor (albeit, Martha has only shown glimpses and needs to deliver). It's almost unanimous on here that our formations are a mess and aren't working, and that lad seemingly has no idea what position he's meant to play. Doesn't excuse his lack of effort (not always, but he does dip), but I wouldn't write him off before seeing him in the right position with the same lads around him each game. The ball control and first half yard are levels above us.

Worth bearing in mind the human element of a 22 year old who has left his home town as a kid, moved countries at 20, then onto another country at 21... travelled all over the world mid-season and helped an island smaller than Epstein's to a world cup. Maybe there are issues behind the scenes, but we don't know if/what they are. What we do know is that the team is in a slump right now and we all need people to blame, but when we turn a corner he's more than talented enough (if motivated, managed right) to absolutely boss this league.

That being said, I think there's a plausible chance we're holding off signing right now to prepare for L2 next year and to sort our finances in a different way, so if that is the case and an offer comes in, let him go. No point having the most talented players if we can't get them playing, or if half the fan base has reached the unforgiving stage with them.

Hoping Martha is looking to move on this window seeing Brin says he wasn't injured Saturday. Him & Kaleta were brought in to be wing backs which they'll never be.

Martha does have technical ability, he wouldn't have made it through the Ajax academy without that.
Unfortunately we've only seen it in very small doses and it's pretty clear that, at the moment, he's not physically equipped to cope with the rough and tumble of League 1.
He's got such a slight frame (more meat on a butcher's pencil) and is too easily knocked off the ball. He then doesn't often show the required desire to win the ball back which is incredibly frustrating for supporters so goodness knows what his teammates must think.
He could probably be more effective in midfield if he had an enforcer alongside him but I'm not convinced that will happen with us.
Does anybody know in what role Curacao employ him?
