    Thanks Wrinkly,
I forwarded it to Sam Todd who said in a return message that they played it after the match on Saturday.

      Possible AI Detected
Shows typical AI generation patterns, but we might be wrong

      Detail:
      Duration: 197 seconds
      Spectral analysis:
      Pure AI: likely (73%)
Hybrid (AI + Human): unlikely (21%)
      Human: probably not (6%)
      Temporal analysis:
      Human: likely (68%)
Hybrid (AI + Human): unlikely (28%)
      Pure AI: highly unlikely (4%)

Spectral is the better test, but either flagging as positive is a strong indicator.
For Christ?s sake get a life!

It is a song about the team we all support.

Did you enjoy it as a Rotherham United song.

Did the lyrics connect with your memories of the club you support.

          You?re not Simon Cowell

            No.

No, it's VERY generic, just change the names and it could be about any club, nothing really specific to us.

            But that's just my opinion.

I am very lucky to have quite an incredible life, and in it I value authenticity.

You have demonstrated many times that you don't care whether the media you consume online is real or not, but some people do.

I'm not opposed to AI per se, it helps me tremendously in software development or ideation and research - but I think AI slop should be labelled as such just as a basic courtesy for people who do care.

I made this song in seconds by writing a 10 word description.

As far as I can see, while he doesn?t explicitly say that it was written by AI, nor does Gino claim that he is the one who wrote it or sang it.

John makes a fair point about the disingenuous nature of AI music, but I can?t help feeling that if the Rotherham song captures the mood and brings pleasure to us as fans, then it can stand on its own merit.

Having said that I would respect Gino even more if he made an explicit statement about its origins. He?s an avid (and very capable) self-publicist and i don?t think it would do him any harm.

                      It's a football song ffs.
Nobody is claiming that it's the ending of Schuberts unfinished symphony.
What does 'real' mean. It's a song with great music and brilliant lyrics. Real enough for me. Most people like it and are unpretentious enough to not give a ff how it was made.
Are we supposed to change from liking it to not liking it because it's not 'authentic'
Nobody is trying to lie to anybody
Its a catchy song with poignant lyrics. That's it.

No. Simon Cowell wouldn't have given it the time of day he's searching for the next 1D or Little Mix!

                          What a saddo.
Some strange weirdo’s about these days.
Your only priority was proving something that the vast majority don’t give a **** about.
It’s not intellectual it’s just pathetic.

To be fair John did take the opportunity to drop a comment about his 'brilliant life'

The absolute worst kind of human being there is. Mandelson could learn from this unpleasant pontificator.

                            Ignore it.

That's a ridiculous and OTT nasty attack on John.
I actually agree with most of John's stuff.
He does debunk a lot of the BS on here - which obviously makes him unpopular to, probably, the majority on here.
I just think he's totally wrong this time.

"the absolute worst kind of human being there is' good grief!

Hi all. Following on from CT's post I'd like to provide you with an update.

Gino has been in contact with me and YES he did write the lyrics.

On another more serious note, he has recently experienced a life threatening incident that happened to him the other day. I won't go into specifics but suffice to say he came through it all with emergency help and care from the hospital Doctors. He is now resting at home and has asked me to pass on his many thanks to all who have sent their best wishes to him.

As for the song, AI, eye eye, poke in the eye, I spy, who gives a damn how it was created, well some do pffft. All I can say reading those lyrics brought many many good memories back. A catchy tune but I somehow can't see those in the North stand remembering all those words if they want to sing it .
