Sounds like they are staying. I donÂ’t think LC has a team, heÂ’s been out of football for years. Appointment seems a sort of sticking plaster to me.Originally posted by Karl998yr View PostAnyone know if Wood, Tongue and Warrington are staying on to be Clarks coaching team or will he be quickly bringing in some of his own?

Paul Douglas said LC will be working with the existing coaching team.Originally posted by Karl998yr View PostAnyone know if Wood, Tongue and Warrington are staying on to be Clarks coaching team or will he be quickly bringing in some of his own?
To be honest, did we really expect anything else?

Desperate appointment. Tony conjures up an 'imaginative plan' to rescue season ticket sales dropping down the bog hole.Originally posted by Tigerish View PostAn utterly baffling appointment. You really couldn't make it up. Unless he's just keeping the seat warm for someone like Revs or Clough.

Desperate appointment, by a clueless board who wasted money in serial fashion, throwing a manger under the bus when the major fault is all theirs. Having now lost touch with all self reality of being able to run the club. COO confesses they do not really know, in all but words, how we arrived at this situation. That is how bad they are.
It was obvious in December how much a good window was needed and they were not prepared to do enough to address things other than spend as little as possible, after a chairman finally comes back from a cruise, knowing that the injuries would continue.
Bringing in the inexperienced loans and a lame duck was sign and hope.
And they now have the gall to say with 9 games, a manger out of the game for 10 years, a replacement at this stage gives us our best hope of staying up. Claiming in all seriousness it is a serious attempt. Desperation, without thought. Chances are MH walked away and who can blame him.
MH showed last season he can lead a team with mostly fit players. Performances and results with fit players were good.
People should remember.
Bringing too much youth too quickly may have been down to money.
i?d take issue with 3 at the back though. The youth were not good enough for that.
We have a situation created and overseen by the board, who happen to be indisposed to give an account of actions.
Taking a punt in the hope 20 points can suddenly come from nowhere when we don?t have fit bodies. The lack of medical staff may give an answer to that one.
It was be interesting to see if we have fit enough bodies for a new man to hit the ground running.
I for one wonder what the hell is going off at the club to give the actual answers from their side, as the replies to Stanton were a farce.
