Went yesterday and a draw was about right I openly admit that we are rubbish and deserve to go down 9 wins in 39 games no argument but dear oh dear the standard in this division is shocking Stevenage were awful and this is what hurts so much as to how far we have fallen I really do fear for my and indeed your club there is no plan and a seemingly happy acceptance that things in the garden are rosy

I don’t know what the answers are but agree with the above poster about the lack of urgency among our players I do want Lee Clark to succeed but having listened to his post match comments about the players giving everything and luck deserted us beggars belief, in spells the passing was a little better but again set pieces either hit the first man or unbelievably in the strong wind went too long, don’t these players know the basics when taking a free kick also Paul Davis had Gray as our best player 8/10 I really couldn’t see what warranted that both he and Gore deserved their yellow cards(Gore was looking at their player for his first offence not the ball)

Having said that the ref was shocking read in Tiser before the game 13 reds in 34 games presume it wasn’t a misprint having seen his performance yesterday don’t think so I think my man of match was Kelly he really is class when played in his correct position Nombe was as usual very busy though he does try to do too much at times you can’t blame him given our lack of creativity shout out to Jules and Raffs too I fear it could be all but over by the time the Dingles come to town next weekend

We didn't look any worse than a team pushing for the play offs.
Which says the league isn't very good this season, and as the manager says...well score one of our chances and we win the game, fine margins.
I actually thought we worked hard and gave it go,especially the first half, they improved, but really there was nothing in it the score was about right.
Was good to see Holmes start a game without ever really putting in a cross or killer pass, this is obviously why 3 different managers haven't played him much.
Martha, while being a frustrating player, did at least contribute one or passes into decent areas.
Shame about Gore, but he does play on the edge at times, I think he and a few others were maybe trying too hard,I remember Nombe, Gray and Holmes not giving a simple pass when someone else was better positioned.
The next 2 games are simply must wins, hopefully Chelsea will knacker out Port Vale today, and I reckon Barnsley are easily beatable.
      KEEP THE FAITH.

I had to check to see if Ted Cann was playing in his slippers- he was so slow in his distribution.

That lethargy was transmitted through out the whole team.

I don't want to see any of these players at my club next season. They can go and sponge a living from some other suckers.
I wasn't expecting to see much change in performance from the new regime. I was pleasantly surprised.

Under recent previous managers, playing out from the back usually consisted of 3/4 passes along the backline before someone, usually

James or Rafferty, booted it upfield. Yesterday I saw more patience and intelligence with the passing, with a more measured advance

upfield, but more possession. Based on the evidence of one game I'm starting to think that Clarke being in charge next season might not

        be a bad thing.

Whether he can improve the EG ratio is another matter.

IBS - we are playing 4 games in 12 days. Do you really expect blood and thunder for all those games? Or are you making a play for the

leadership of the 'Clarke Out' brigade?

          We were abysmal

I am not making a play for leadership of the 'Clarke Out' brigade but I do want to make a play for the 'players out' brigade.

I expected them to have bust a gut to get a win at home against Stevenage and build some confidence and momentum. We can conserve energy and rotate etc once we had a couple of wins on the board.

As it is- we are down after the most spineless performance for many a year. Yesterday made the Taylor teams defeat at Hillsbro look world class.

          Disgusted.

This thread has the usual collection of over the top criticism alongside some desperate clutching at straws.
I don't think there was much wrong with the effort yesterday but the quality was severely lacking as it has been for most of the season.
Overall it was a poor game and there wasn't much between the sides even though one of them may yet clinch a place in the play offs.
As has already been commented, this really is a very poor division.
Whatever the new manager may say and whatever the mathematics may look like, we are down because of the negligence of the board and the blind stubborness of the previous manager in employing a system that never looked like working.
Thank you one and all ☹️

Dawson fan club yet again calling Cann out, talk about sour grapes. He did nothing wrong.

Well, all will not get changed. So they better choose a manager like warne, in fact bring him and barker back and let hamshaw train the kids again. Blend what is left over this season with new players. Not loans, it needs MONEY.
Because Stewart screwed up letting the whole team go, medical, you name it.
The whole club running needs a reset, and the football side needs a warne type. And change in total comes in time.

They gave hamshaw nothing to work with. We had leftovers mixed with young. Half loans at that. And Clarke will go niw he has seen what he is up against.

What was out there was a makeshift team which did its best. But that line up didn?t include enough.
From that you cannot judge all players But you have to look at the whole pie not a slice on show against revs, which is barely a part of it. You need to know which bits of the pie is fit, and some players are, some not there.

The majority must go, not because most are no good, they go because some too old or injured, but most of the squad
Are from THREE managers and do not gell, simple as that.

Don't want Warney or Hamshaw anywhere near this club again. They left they weren't pushed. Know Brecks did the same but he didn't know if he'd have a job not knowing who'd be next manager.

Couldn't work out how we set-up Saturday? Starting with 4 forwards & only 2 in midfield. 2 of the forwards J Holmes & Watmore were largely ineffective. Need to be stronger in midfield.
