If the enormous rent the club pays to the chairman was transferred to the manager to spend on players, fans may renew their season tickets. The chairman charged us one of the highest prices in league 1 last season and he has the nerve to tell us if you don't renew we will not have the money to buy the players. Please ,please sell up and do the proper thing for this club.

This post is wrong on every level. Let's deal in facts.
The club lost ?4.7m last year. ASD also paid the club over a ?1m in sponsorship. The rent was ?1m.
The chairman deserves a lot of criticism for the way he's run the club since Warne left but he's never dug deeper in his pocket than he did last season.
I hope he sells up because I think he's run his race but stop criticising him for every single thing. He has thrown money at it to turn it around. He's failed miserably but don't pretend you're hurting more than he is.

At last, local media are telling us, as it is.Rob Staton has said that it is a total mess, when it comes to appointing managers at Rotherham,Apart from Evans' first stint and the much unappreciated Paul Warne we have failed miserably. He says Burchnall (cheap option}is favourite for the coaching job and says he'll need all the luck.He also goes on to say, it's not the fans but the chairman who is responsible for bringing players in.For a long time the local have had to be silent, so it is very refreshing for Staton to confirm what we all know.We need a full reset and all fans, apart from the happy clappers, were looking forward to new ownership and the missing fans would return.

Bill I don?t think there?s ever a 100 percent happy clapper football fan even here at Rotherham.Originally posted by MillerBill View PostAt last, local media are telling us, as it is.Rob Staton has said that it is a total mess, when it comes to appointing managers at Rotherham,Apart from Evans' first stint and the much unappreciated Paul Warne we have failed miserably.
There?s something we all aren?t happy with even me who?s more than a glass half full fan.

Brin,at the end of the day,we're all 100% Millers and want our club to stop this downward spiral. The appointment of Steve McClaren as Director of Football was much needed,We only hope that his advice is heeded and supported. We have had so many managers who have failed and the common denominator is our chairman but he refuses to take responsibility for this. The interview TS gave was not very good and when you scrutinize it, there is little positivity to take out of it for the long suffering fans.He is doing the complete opposite of what he should be doing. He should be telling us, we are going all out to win this league and the manager will have my full backing.Last season we should have had at least one of the top six budgets, having persuaded six and half thousand to buy season tickets, which were one of the most expensive in league 1.Absent season ticket holders grew in the later stages and the NYS was soulless because lots of fans were protesting against TS, by not taking their seats. When Phil Smith came in to offer advice, there was a lot of optimism amongst fans with the rumour of a takeover.Unfortunately, this has not materialised,so even though SM is here, we still have the same incompetent Board. The "failed "previous managers, all identified internal problems at the club but they fell on deaf ears.I fear SM is struggling to bring in a good coach due to lack of financial backing. When Radio Sheffield, who previously never said a bad word, are coming out and questioning the running of this club, you know we are in deep trouble.Proper Millers fans don't want to see this club go to the dogs but unless there are changes at the top I fear the worst. Our loyalty to this club ,we all love is being abused and I only hope that Phil Smith can get together new owners to steer this club out of this black hole.Originally posted by Brin View PostBill I don?t think there?s ever a 100 percent happy clapper football fan even here at Rotherham.

Nobody in their right mind would invest in a failing company and keep the same chairman who has caused this downfall.Originally posted by RU66 View PostPhil Smith said to worth over 400 million pounds if he's the fan of the club he says he is surely he can invest some money into the club get us a head coach we've heard of who is proven in the job still got something to offer.

New owners with ambition, we would fill this stadium and get it rocking again.Nobody trusts the present owner to deliver anything to improve this club.Originally posted by RU66 View PostWhat's he doing there then? If he's not investing money in the club he's just a fan like the rest of us.

Why don't you wait to see how things pan out?Originally posted by MillerBill View PostNew owners with ambition, we would fill this stadium and get it rocking again.Nobody trusts the present owner to deliver anything to improve this club.
We've now got Steve McClaren making football decisions, rather than Tony or Paul Douglas. That's an improvement for a start.
