  • Still no manager

So here we are 10 days after the great unveiling and what has changed?
    NOTHING.
    No manager
    No new players
    Deathly silence from the club.
If Tony wants to sell more season tickets we have to have optimism in the future of the team, unfortunately I personally am very worried.
I auto renew and will continue to do so but can?t imagine people rushing to buy new ones or renew.

I don't think anybody wants to work for this chairman because they will get no support.Have we actually advertised for this poisoned chalice job?

Yes. Bearing in mind what Clark said, and the plans he wanted (needed) to get cracking with as soon as the season ended, this is a pretty worrying situation. Is the club dying on its arse? Because it?s starting to feel like it.

At this rate I won?t get good odds on the millers getting relegated.

I'm probably miles off here but Fergie link Neil Lennon next head coach here? I'd definitely go with that. Must have dreamt that but if your going to do job right no point only half doing it!

Has it occurred to anyone that the new manager may have been employed all season by another club and is simply on holiday?

If it was a manager involved in a play-off push, their season only ended last weekend, add on a potential open top bus parade and they might have only just gone. He might well have said he needs 2 weeks away with his family then can come back and get started.

Players generally don't sign in May for the same reason, and a World Cup year delays the entire pecking order. Despite the twitter rumor mill, nobody is actually signing anyone.

Mark Hughes just left Carlisle United by mutual consent.
Hughes might be a mate of McClaren, could be the Millers have waited for Hughes to leave Carlisle United, so not paying compensation.to them.
Just a theory in the mix.

I would be deeply surprised if any of these names are the one. TS has a huge ego and do you think SM ex-england manager is a humble person? He will want a qualified young coach he can control and mold. I understand the players delays due to players contract and official transfer window dates, but we basically have 1 month to bring in 10 players minimum to make preseason worth while. The manager we had one in LC I suspect he was too out spoken for TS and SM so had to go, screw the club let's get another yes man, the footballing equivalent of PD....god help our club

It won't be anyone like that Gru. Just read what DerbyMiller just said because he's right. It'll be someone relatively young with a reputation of being a good coach and a point to prove - Ian Birchnall and his ilk.

Make him someone to win fans over then not whose past record won't like Burchnall.

Burchnall has a past record?!?!? If he has any sense he will stay in aberdeen, he has spread his wings, own man.

I would be more concerned about the quality of players we will have than a manger, they do not kick a ball.

                          And at this rate…..

Just watched an interview with McLaren where, on the subject of a new head coach, he says that Lee Clark not staying was unfortunate. Hang on! Lee not staying was entirely down to Tony letting him go, so that was a pretty rapid screw up wasn’t it, if McLaren wanted him.

He has also said that a new coach has been spoken to(several) and they all agree with whats been going on behind the scenes regarding players who have been mentioned already.

Shall we just leave it to them?
