It is certainly causing friction and factions amongst us all. This is a major point where I feel the club (Stewart) doesn't realise or moreover doesn't care about the actual fanbase and treats us with contempt. A 'Let em fight it out' attitude the club will still be here with or without them is his current focus.Originally posted by Old_time_miller View PostI think Brin said the situation is winding people up. Too true.
I've never known a situation like it in my time in following the Millers. I'm dumbfounded as to how this has come around considering our previous success under different Managers with Stewart at the helm. He really has taken his eye off the ball these last 3 seasons and he has only himself to blame with his stubborn 'Im in charge' attitude allowing no one else in to help him, be it financial or footballing knowledge.
There are those Millers fans who now choose just to look in rather than join a debate where in the latter seasons, they often contributed to what was a very thriving site and it's a crying shame it's all ended up like this.
Do I fear for our footballing survival next season? At this current truly farcical stage yes I do. My glass is always half full watching the Millers but for some strange reason I'm beginning to see cracks on the outside of it. I hoped I'm proved wrong and all will be fine on the HMS Stewart as we sail through next season.

Good points Brin.
Thinking about that post, and what you said, if you mean by success it means a fairly stable team and playing mostly well, then there is only 2 managers under stewart. If we leave uncle Neil aside.
Evans first time around and Warne.
It is not hard to work out why at other times where the problem were, and now.
And as for the friction, I agree. Truce time everyone to everyone.

He didn't do owt with Dawson though.Originally posted by mellowmiller View PostSo far the new DoF has failed to bring in his first choice Head Coach, seems to be struggling to convince his second choice to come and now has got rid of the goalkeeping coach who brought us Rodak, Iversen and Viktor.
Marvellous ☹️

If the player budget of the new manager is the same as what was on to be given to the second to last manager for this season then I am not surprised we still haven't got a manager in place.
I don't think people realise how much none league clubs are willing to pay for players. And I think people will be surprised that some potential signings are now in none league in more money than a league One club could afford.
On top of that is the new aproach for a league two football club being set by The Millers. If SM is picking the players and the new manager isn't getting a say and only training them and setting them up for the matches then I doubt that there are more than a hand full of clubs in the football pyramid doing it that way.

No he wasn't but, he let Dawson play nearly all season.Originally posted by mellowmiller View PostI knew someone would say that.
He wasn't responsible for bringing him to the club!
How do we know that he was involved in bring Rodak, Iveson and Viktor to the club, could have been the scouts and Scott who thought about it.

Frog, in the interview with TS, he said that SM had a budget and he's in charge of anything football in the club.
SM also stated that he knows the type of players and football he wants to play and that the new coach must be on side with that.
That to me means SM is the manager in all but name, and the coach will be his assistant but called the Coach.
TS has almost washed his hands of running the club and appointed SM to take the flak.

1. Andy Warrington didn't pick the team.Originally posted by avondalemiller View PostNo he wasn't but, he let Dawson play nearly all season.

2. Paul Warne, when he was manager, said Warrington was responsible for recruiting the goalkeepers.

I have heard that they are trying to negioate a bulk rate to put the vacant jobs up on Totaljobs, for a coach and players.
Serious question, the people accountable for the fitness and health of our players, how come no news there? have any of them been moved on? No strategy announced on how we will tackle the main issue used by the managers, directors and owners for our shocking season, it is over 1 month since the end of the season are we going to let that group loose on the players we have when they come back in a few weeks time?
