Paul Simpson is 60 years old next month. He's got an easy job coaching kids in a sunnier climate than here and no doubt enjoying a decent lifestyle. At his time of life, would you swap that for the rebuild job we need? Ian Burchnall turned us down for financial reasons. So on the face of it, nothing to do with McClaren.

All we need is a coach. Someone who shares McClaren's footballing philosophy and ideas around how we should play. The fact we haven't got someone in yet, doesn't mean no one wants the job. There are plenty of coaches out there happy to work as a 'number 2' we just need the right man.

The fact is, you don't like McClaren so you will absolutely seize upon anything that portrays him or the club in a bad light - because that's what you do.

It's patently obvious to anyone with more that 6 brain cells that some on here take against players,managers and DOF just because they don't like them,nothing to do with any talent or skills.
Having someone like McC at our club is very exciting, I would imagine most 3rd and 4th division teams would love to have someone so high profile associated with their team.
Didn't he say himself that he wanted this type of role instead of a managers job, let's see how it pans out eh ?

On June 15 we will start to find out if any well kept secret player negotiations have taken place. It would be a first for us because we usually leak most.
Since we have not brought in any OOC players so far, those will be later also.
The player situation is now more important by the day.

I would like to hear anything coming from the club, any of them. Any word to give encouragement.

You do realise how stupid that is. From the person who offers absolutely zero on here apart from talking bollax and to yourself. BOTN is at times harsh with his views which I often don’t agree with but from someone like you whoever your persona is on a daily basis that response is about as stupid as stupid does.

I hope you are right Brin, but getting a coach in so late with little news on some of the other areas like players and the backroom staff is still very worrying I hope we can keep ourselves in and around the middle of the table at the end of September

Most players contracts don't end until 30th
June, so officially become another clubs player on the 1st July.
