Well at least he has L2 experience and I would hope the club are close to a deal before releasing the name to the press, another rejection would be very embarrassing.
My first interview question would be "so matt, you had Walsall running away with the league and then it all went wrong, what happened?"

Remember him better as a manager as he is Sadler and was managing the Saddlers. Agree with DM, that would be a good question to ask

Walsall had Nathan Lowe on loan from Stoke that season who was scoring for fun. But Stoke recalled him in January and they capitulated. They obviously couldn't replace his goals.

But yes I agree, I'd be asking the question.

I remember that now, it is always the danger of having a loan striker that does the business especially for a lower league club.

where's the information come from? Decent managerial stats if so - knows L2 - will be in time to see if Messi wants to come and help out our younger players after his last WC (perhaps we could clone him)

Paul Davis on X. He'll know league 2. I'll back him his 2nd job so see what he's learnt from the 1st.

Didn?t Stockport suffer the same fate with their loan player from Aston Villa scoring a load of goals then got recalled.

I find it comforting that with our aging fan base who as a fact of life will naturally encounter memory issues, we are prepared to alleviate their problems by continuing to look to appoint managers called Matt

I know our fanbase struggles with exotic foreign sounding names but, I?d have thought they could spell MAT Sadler correctly😆

I find it very disturbing that we should be considering someone called Mat which sounds like Matt…..considering what the last one called Matt was like……

If we are resorting to age related or spellings on here on posters, we must be getting a bit desparate…perhaps we are.
