Blimey Brammers, that's quite a decent opening gambit.

Could see where it was going after 2 goes so burnt 3rd for a parper:

    1g 1y
    3g 1y
    1y
    5g

Nothing finer than an Andrew Preview moment Bramley, always a stunning score is an eagle so congrats on that, and I'm waiting for one of us to fluke a one, who knows......UTM

      • Nicely done with the Preview Eagle, Bramley. It crossed my mind, too, when I had all the letters after two guesses but only one of them in the right place!

All sorted then for another birdie 3.

        • Had to settle for a bogey today. Knew 4g after my 3rd guess but still had 4 options so at least my burn prevented a fail as the actual word would have been my last choice of the 4. What was nice was I was able to come up with a burn word that contained all the letters I needed to cover including ruling out a possible double letter.

          2y
          1y+2g
          1y+3g
          1y+1g

              • If I'd gone with usual word, that would have been a bird at least!

As it was, shocking choices and the inevitable boogie:

                1y
                1y
                1g 1y
                2g

                • Stumbled around in the yellows for a while to record an eventual bogey.

                    • Also a birdie. From the dark into the light. Now three consecutively:

                      1g
                      3g
                      5g

Well played CT its a rare achievement to get three birdies in a row.
