Agree it’s fun on balance (to your and CAM’s observations.) The pleasure comes from the process of extrication after you’ve dealt yourself a random set of cards (rather than any sense of satisfaction from improvement on a game-by-game linear basis.)

Once I got that into my head I began to enjoy it more.

My brain hurts as yesterday I introduced my sister-in-law to Wordle. She kept changing the position of green letters and reusing grey ones. Drove me nuts.
