A bog standard par today, after what I thought was a very good start. I struggled and hit the lip of the hole on my birdy stroke.

It's all over and The Home Boys are dancing around the 18th green spraying champagne whilst The Exiles trudge off to bicker about what went wrong. However, in true Ryder Cup tradition the competition will continue until the last ball drops in 2 days time as the last 3 'dead' points are played for whilst the sun disappears over the yard arm

Statistics January 25-31

Does competition focus the mind? Easiest word of the week came on January 25th with BLOCK and a 3.79 average (3.50 on MM) and hardest was EMBER on the 28th with a whopping 4.74 average which was blown away by the Madsters in the midst of The Ryder Cup with a 3.75.

It once again has me questioning the accuracy of the Wordle weekly review as we found LEGGY and EXPEL on the following 2 days much more of a challenge and on the daily reviews they themselves had them with 4.8/5.8 averages at the times those were written.
