  • On the assumption that the data that it is based on is correct, I agree with the article – something has to be done to improve the state of antenatal care in this country (perhaps there’s room for a TV drama to spur the government into action).

I don't understand why you consider the article to be relevant though.

    • Some mind boggling references in this thread.

However, they all suffer from the same fault.

That's trying to make wide ranging conclusions from limited data. It's always a mistake

Add to this the tendency to cherry pick conclusions you want to see whilst ignoring those you don't want to see.

Good science is based on years of work and extensive data not on a " quick dip in the pond" by a scientist wanting to attract attention or funding for their pet project.

Mass data in the public domain is essential

      • I agree with your view of good science, but fear that mass data in the public domain would merely be abused by the unscrupulous or by those who aren't equipped to analyse it.

We've seen the abuse of publically available data by those who claim that it shows that the vaccinated are more likely to die of covid than the unvaccinated.

          Jeesus

So if the data is right and it proves that the vaccines have caused harm, genetically changed people, killed or had any adverse effect then you won’t accept it because you think that folk will abuse the data.

Well, maybe so, but really that’s the point, data being analysed by those not equipped to do it.

Now that dodgy analysis is more instant due to social media, where previously it was via the written word, much slower and generally restricted to those with a mental capacity to understand it

Can you explain where I said that?

If you show me a meaningful and peer reviewed analysis of data that shows any of the things that you mention then of course I would accept it (I would also need to see an explanation of the notion that mRNA had changed DNA given that I know enough biochemistry to say that's bollox).

If you show me clips of shouty - mostly American and mostly alt right - people from Twitter making such claims then I won't. Nor should you, but I accept your right to do so.

Kind of, but I wasn't referring to mental capacity as much as the experience, knowledge, and training to make an analysis.

I also don't think experience, knowledge and training has come into it with some of the players who have made untrue claims about covid and the vaccines. In some instances data has been abused to serve the purpose of the abuser - it was integrity that was the issue.

NB. Apologies, very silly of me to say that. It seems though that neither side be it Frog/Kerr will win in this debate.

Experience, knowledge and training in abundance from this chap - Dr. John Campbell.

He set up his YouTube channel in the early days with the intention of providing assurance to the hesitant, providing an almost daily update. As more and more data appeared, he also underwent a change of direction.

The only stats he ever quotes are official government stats and/or per reviewed articles, such as this one on how menstruation is adversely affected by the Fauci-Ouchy...

Watch it and see. There are loads more on his channel, but you may be reluctant to watch them as there are many things you'd probably rather not learn about.
