    Can?t fault the value.

If you want ham, egg, chips and a pint for under a tenner it?s spot on.

The one in Harrogate is a thing of beauty and would probably be a derelict building if it wasn?t a spoons.
Scum, we were in the hotel at the side of it during our golf weekend. truly a magnificent building, and a huge one at that. Believe it was a Bank, so fit's in with Wetherspoons ideals. It was packed when we went in, god knows how many it holds.

The one in Harrogate we frequent twice a year after the flower show it is indeed a lovely building. A bit of info on it.Harrogate?s former Royal Baths included the Winter Gardens ? built so that visitors could relax and stroll in any weather. Its name lives on in this Wetherspoon pub. During the 1920s, people could relax here, amid potted palms, listening to music from a grand piano. In the 1930s, the Municipal Orchestra played every morning throughout the year, with free admission for the patients of the baths.

for away games, it is sometimes the only place you can get into, when there are home fans only signs everywhere.

No last good pint of beer I had was John Smith's in when it was the Double barrel Thurcroft was more expensive but wasn't full of gas like you get now plus your short measured. That's an Indian now should have been knocked down never go in one of them. Food don't mind paying want something resembling being home cooked not fast food. I'm spoilt with beer was brought up on Stones. Wards wasn't bad depending were you went.

Nowt wrong with Spoons - usually seek out one when at show or gig if one near venue - great range of beers but 2 or 3 quid cheaper than most London pubs (per pint!). If not too packed, and if not got too many all days drinkers in there falling about, they are fine. Food not great true, but fine if just out with a mate before a gig when less fussed. Not where I'd take family for a meal for sure!

So because you personally don't want Indian food it should be knocked down so nobody else can have any?

Like Pup says, quick fix as a one off match/concert etc.

Where else can you get a curry and rice, pappadum, naan bread and a pint for ?10.50 ish......bargain.

NB. RU66. Try their gammon, chips, egg etc you'll be surprised what you get and tasteful, none of that nasty curry for you.

We used to do the curry night on a Thursday after shopping at Morrisons, plus Steak day Tuesday.
                          Don't bother with food now.
Wetherspoons get some good beers in, & admitted some crap but I try them first.
Mexborough wetherspoons is over 1 pound dearer than Churchouse Wath, & Horseshoe in Wombwell for the same beer.
My main tipple was John Smith's Magnet beer, then Stones beer.
Some micro breweries have tried to do Magnet, not good.
They have the Magnet in the Angel in Rotherham, & Lockies pub in Wombwell, but no good.

If had been knocked as you suggest then I would have missed having the half decent meal I had in there.
