Anyone notice Dawson nearly got caught out with this new law first half?

Ref clearly held his hand up show 5 down to 1 with his hand and got to two before Dawson hastily launched it. He then had the nerve to shout towards the bench waving his arms about like no one had reminded him from the bench what the Ref was doing and why?
