  • Winter Transfer Window

We have already been told by the owners that this transfer window is going to be a quiet one after the surge of new players coming in during the summer.
However hopes are high that we can get an experienced right-back in on loan and a right-winger that can actually cross a ball.
What do you think guys, what are your hopes for improving the squad?

Happy New Year boys and girls!
Definite priority a loan right-back until Key regains his mojo, looks like his confidence is shot, it’s one to fix on the training ground.

Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, who joined Turkish Super League club Caykur Rizespor last September on loan until the end of the 2025-26 season, is the latest player to be linked to the Swans. A left-footed right-winger, he played on loan at Sheff Utd last season.

Free agent 36 year-old Joel Ward, 6’2” right-back/centre-back released by Crystal Palace last summer and is without a club since, is being linked with the Swans. Strange one this.

I can only see two loan players coming in, a right winger and a right-back/wing-back, that’s our weakest part of the team.

Swans set to sign free agent, veteran defender and ex-Crystal Palace captain Joel Ward, according to BBC Sport

Joel Ward had been without a club since ending a 13-year spell at Selhurst Park last summer.

Strange one this as he has been without a club since last summer and is 36 years old and not match fit. However his experience will be invaluable on and off the field.

Ricardo Santos to Reading, fee agreed apparently. Injured most of his time here and gave away a goal on his one match return.

Well the positives from WBA cup game were that we created plenty of chances. With Idah out for the season, surely we can get a loan player in who can score a few goals, our lot fluffed so many chances to win that match comfortably.
The negatives will be the loss of revenue from being knocked out will restrict us getting any players in this transfer window.

Various media reporting that Ricardo Santos is off to Reading for ?340,000 subject to medical.
Unfortunately didn’t get a chance here, deemed not good enough.

Well he’s not off, the transfer has fallen through after Reading decided to pull out of the deal after reviewing his medical results report.
