Brilliant save by Berger to stop France going ahead-from a potential own-goal! Can't say this game lacks entertainment!
I know it can be tough to play against 10 but really thought that France would find a way to capitalize on their advantage -they haven't so far. 15 mins of extra time left and either side could snatch it, though I wouldn't rule out a penalty shoot out

Well that was a lot different from the Sweden-England shoot out! A lot of good penalties from players under an awful lot of pressure.
Really thought France would win this, especially when Germany went down to ten after just 13 mins but they just couldn't find a way through them. Hats off to Germany for their commitment and desire and after that drubbing from Sweden they looked like a different team.
Spain v Germany may be a very good watch if both play to their potential and England will have to be at their very best if they manage to get past Italy and meet either in the final.
Really enjoying these Euros.

I'd love to think so Boingy but neither Germany nor Spain will be easy. That said, performances from all the teams I have watched so far have been quite variable so you never know!
Just been reading that Police are investigating racist abuse of Jess Carter. Given some of the stuff I saw on the BBC comments section after the Sweden game (all by men) this sadly doesn't surprise me.
In response, the Lionesses, apparently, will now no longer partake in the taking the knee malarkey. Rather belatedly they have realised what many have known for some time which is that whilst this may have initially been a show of solidarity, it rather quickly became an empty gesture that preached to the converted and did little -if anything-concrete to end racism.
Carter has not had a great tournament and was overmatched in the Sweden game but the colour of her skin has nothing to do with her performance. Many of us on here are likely white gentlemen of a certain age 😁 who may therefore not be affected by this directly but whilst both racism and ***ism are far less obvious than they were in the 60s, 70s or 80s, very sadly the data clearly shows that levels of both continue to be far too high. The rise of populism hasn't helped the former and the misuse of social media hasn't helped either.
