Hadn't realised this was on Netflix until the better half told me. I like his work anyway (Pan's Labyrinth, Shape of Water especially) and particularly the look of his pictures. The movie stays quite close to the book and I really enjoyed it-even on our LG 32" though I'm sure it is even more impressive with the proper kit.Originally posted by boinggazmic View PostMorning everyone..watched this last night on Netflix .stunning version from gullermo o del toro.great filmmaking and retelling of a classic.Cinematography, acting from everyone was top drawer.watched it on my 50 inch oiled with soundbar.so impressed I had to tell you all .so let me know what you think..makes a change from mason and maja don?t it.have a great Sunday.utb
Probably the second best film version of Frankenstein after Whales's 1931 classic. The only thing that let it down were the relatively poor CGI animals which was a surprise given the general quality of his work. But yes, agree that it's worth a watch!

He seems to turn into Ian Astbury from The Cult towards the end 😄Originally posted by boinggazmic View PostMorning everyone..watched this last night on Netflix .stunning version from gullermo o del toro.great filmmaking and retelling of a classic.Cinematography, acting from everyone was top drawer.watched it on my 50 inch oiled with soundbar.so impressed I had to tell you all .so let me know what you think..makes a change from mason and maja don?t it.have a great Sunday.utb
